Shanxi Provincial Entrance Examination Management Center is a specialized agency responsible for the entrance examination of the whole province. The main duties of the examination are:

3. To undertake the construction of question bank of art entrance examination, higher education self-study examination, entrance examination for graduates of secondary vocational schools and entrance examination for ordinary colleges and universities in the province.
4 responsible for the organization, implementation and management of primary and secondary school teachers' qualification examination, national English test band 4 and band 6, national computer grade examination and other non-academic qualification certificates. Undertake other kinds of examination items that meet the needs of social development.
5, according to the relevant laws and regulations, within the scope of responsibility and authority to deal with the relevant violations of candidates, to assist the relevant departments to investigate and deal with major issues in the entrance examination.
6, to carry out the research and evaluation of the entrance examination, to provide decision-making basis for the provincial party committee and government to formulate the entrance examination policy, and to provide consulting services for candidates, parents, institutions and society.
