According to Forbes Chinese mainland Rich List, Zhong Shanshan became the richest man in China with assets of 455 billion yuan. Zhong Shanshan, 1954 was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province in February, with a ancestral home in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, and graduated from the Chinese Department of Zhejiang Radio and TV University. Zhong Shanshan is the founder, chairman and CEO of Nongfu Spring Co., Ltd., and concurrently serves as the chairman of Yangshengtang Co., Ltd. The commercial map of Zhong Shanshan also includes Wan Tai Bio and Duoer Capsule.

On September 8, 2020, Zhong Shanshan led Nongfu Spring to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with a total market value of HK$ 445.3 billion. As a result, Zhong Shanshan topped the Forbes real-time data list and became the richest man in China. In September 2023, Zhong Shanshan was selected as the richest man in the Asia Rich List in Greater China in 2023 with a wealth of 80 billion US dollars.
