2. General symptoms of brain abscess

2. Symptoms of intracranial infection: there are systemic symptoms such as fever, loss of appetite, fatigue and indifference in the early stage, and convulsions may occur when there is high fever. Because cerebrospinal fluid culture is mostly negative, and it is very dangerous to perform lumbar puncture when intracranial pressure is increased, it is generally best not to do lumbar puncture. When lumbar puncture is needed, it should be carried out according to the situation in increased intracranial pressure and carefully.

3. Symptoms of intracranial space-occupying lesions: From inflammation to brain abscess, intracranial pressure has increased from normal, so it shows a series of symptoms of increased intracranial pressure. I have a headache, vomiting and optic disc edema. If not diagnosed and treated in time, he may die of cerebral hernia. The change of consciousness is noteworthy. The sick child turns from lively to dull, and has convulsions or coma. Infants and young children have swollen heads, full anterior fontanel and no local neurological symptoms.

4. Localized brain symptoms: According to the location of brain abscess, it can lead to local symptoms. For example, when the frontal lobe is damaged, it shows drowsiness, when the parietal lobe is damaged, it appears aphasia, deviation or visual field defect, and even the elderly are blind. Impairment of cerebellum can lead to unsteady walking, dyskinesia and obvious nystagmus. 20% ~ 50% patients have convulsions, which may be to one side.

3. What should I do after being bitten by cats and dogs?

No matter whether you are bitten by a dog or not, you should take prompt measures. Be sure to rinse the dog's saliva quickly to prevent bacteria from infiltrating into the body from the epidermis. It can be disinfected and washed with soapy water or hydrogen peroxide, alcohol and iodine. It is best to last for more than 20 minutes. Correct wound irrigation can greatly reduce the incidence.

2. Don't bandage the wound.

In order to prevent the growth of bacteria, do not bandage the wound after repeated washing, and keep the wound bare. It is best not to do strenuous exercise and let the wound rest.

3. Observe the dog's condition

Generally speaking, it is not a big problem for dogs to bite a little wound or not bleed after injection, but some dogs that have not been vaccinated in adults or have been vaccinated this year have a lot of germs. So we need to know whether dogs like to eat some unclean food. The dog's own health. If it is not good, further treatment is needed.

4. An injection will be given within 24 hours after biting the bleeding.

As explained above, rabies will enter the central system within 3-5 days, so whether the dog is healthy or not, we should take the first rabies vaccine within 24 hours, because the onset period of the dog is also within 10 days.
