Introduction to Yeshantang
The predecessor of Zishantang can be traced back to the 1930s. Its founder, Chi Chuanyu (Zi Fuzhong), was listed as Zifu Chinese and Western Medicine Clinic in the birthplace of Mencius (formerly Zouxian County, Shandong Province), and later developed into Ziyuanchang Chinese Medicine Clinic, and finally renamed Zishantang. Gushantang heritage
In 1930s, due to the disaster in his hometown, Yan Chuanyu, the founder of Yan Shantang, moved his family to Zoucheng, Shandong Province to practice medicine for a living. At that time, the daughter-in-law of Dong Jiasi, the rich man in Zoucheng County, suddenly got a strange disease and her tongue tightened. She needs to wrap her tongue in silk brocade to pull it out, and all the doctors in Zoucheng are helpless. Finally, Chen Chuanyu was invited to a free clinic. He took the needle at Neiguan double points alone and removed the disease by hand. Dong Jia immediately presented ten silver coins as a reward. Chi Chuanyu then took ten silver dollars as the capital, took medicine in Baorentang, Zoucheng, and opened "Chifu Chinese and Foreign yiguang", which gradually formed the embryonic form of "Chishantang".
Chen Chuanyu was included in Zoucheng County Records Tales of Capable People. He traveled all over the world with silver needles and Chinese medicine all his life, saving countless lives. After liberation, Zou County Hospital and Chengguan Hospital were established in the local area, and Chi Chuanyu once worked in Zou County Chengguan Hospital. In the 1960s, diphtheria was prevalent in Zoucheng, and many seriously ill children turned the corner by needling points with Chuanyu and soaking them in boiling water with LiangGeSan (now renamed Changshuangyin).
Yan Yuanchang (the grandson of Yan Chuanyu), one of the main inheritors of Yan Shantang, accompanied Yan Chuanyu for consultation, assisted in waiting for treatment and copied prescriptions, and witnessed the desperate patients recover after some acupuncture and several pairs of Chinese medicines.
