Huangdi Neijing is one of the four classic works of China's traditional medicine (Huangdi Neijing, Treatise on Febrile Diseases, Synopsis of the Golden Chamber and Treatise on Febrile Diseases), and it is also the earliest medical classic in China's medical treasure house, the first book of health preservation and the first encyclopedia of life wisdom.

Huangdi Neijing established the theories of yin-yang, five elements, pulse condition, zang-xiang, meridians, etiology and pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment, and important health preserving theories.
