Precautions for hydroponic plants: water quality and quantity

Ensure the oxygen supply in the water. Fresh water contains more oxygen, and plants will grow healthier. If the water is not changed for a long time, plants can persist for a period of time. For example, sometimes everyone is on a business trip or vacation, and they are not at home for ten days, half a month or even a month. Plants cultivated in soil can't stand it and die, while hydroponic plants can still persist as long as you add more water. But if the time is too long, the water in the bottle will taste or deteriorate, which will affect the growth of hydroponic plants and even lead to their death in serious cases.

Matters needing attention in hydroponic plants: nutrient solution

Generally, you can use the special nutrient solution for hydroponics sold in the market. Prepare a suitable concentration according to the instructions, such as diluting 400 times or 1000 times. Don't get the proportions wrong. When preparing, tap water should be allowed to stand for two hours to half a day. When the temperature is close to room temperature and chlorine in the water is completely volatilized, concentrated nutrient solution is added in proportion to become the nutrient solution for hydroponic plants.

Precautions for hydroponic plants: moisturizing

There is little moisture in the air in winter, especially in the north, and the room is very dry, which is not good for the growth of plants. So please spray the leaves with clean water to keep the humidity. You can spray clean water twice a day.

Precautions for hydroponic plants: change water

Changing water means changing water with nutrient solution in the bottle. Generally, water is changed every 5- 10 days in spring and autumn; Change water every five days in summer; Change the water every 10- 15 days in winter (after the tap water is left for half a day, add concentrated nutrient solution in proportion).

Note: When changing water, please expose the roots of plants by half or one third.

Precautions for hydroponic plants: light

Mainly scattered light. What is scattered light? It is natural light that comes in from windows and other places and naturally scatters indoors. Generally, as long as there is light suitable for plant growth, it is not necessary to bask in the sun. In summer, we should try to avoid direct sunlight.

Five points for attention of hydroponic plants: temperature

The suitable growth temperature of hydroponic plants is above minus 5 degrees and below 30 degrees. In other words, as long as the temperature is comfortable for people, plants will feel comfortable and they can grow normally. Even in winter, they can thrive and add vitality to us.

Precautions for hydroponic plants 6: Cleaning

Every time you change water, rinse the roots and containers of plants with clear water and trim dead branches, leaves and rotten roots. Under normal growth conditions, hydroponic plants will regularly rot off some roots and regenerate new ones, so don't panic when you find rotten roots, just cut off the rotten roots with disinfection scissors (alcohol cotton disinfection), and sometimes cut off some old roots to promote the growth of new roots (note: it should be carried out under the guidance of professionals). But be careful not to hurt the roots of water, otherwise it will affect the growth of plants.

The white tender roots on the roots of hydroponic plants are water roots, some of which grow directly from the stem base and some from the main roots. Are responsible for plant absorption function, don't hurt them.
