I. Maintenance
1. Waterproof solid wood floors are most afraid of water. In summer, it is necessary to prevent rain and water accumulation outside the window. In winter, we should prevent the heating at home from running away. If you accidentally leak water, even a little tea, you should wipe it with a soft rag in time and keep it dry, so as not to promote luster, or even cause warping, cracking and mildew. If the indoor cement floor is wet due to backwater (which is the most likely situation in the ground floor room), there will be problems such as mildew, warping and expansion, paint peeling and color variation. And we must solve the backwater problem first, and then decorate and replace the floor.
2. Don't throw cigarette butts and match sticks that haven't been extinguished by fire on the ground at will. Electric stoves, rice cookers, irons, soldering irons, etc., should not be placed on them without putting fire-proof and scalding pads, otherwise it will easily burn the wooden floor. Don't use gasoline to wipe the dust and dirt on the surface, in case of static electricity caused by friction and fire.
3. Anti-damage solid wood floors are also easy to damage. Even the smallest gravel, with the passage of time, is easy to wear rough surface and color, leaving traces. If there is gravel, it should be wiped with a semi-wet soft rag in time. You'd better put on ordinary prize slippers before entering the room, and don't bring gravel in. Don't wear iron palms with nails on the soles, let the hard-soled shoes walk and the surface is manipulated. Do not drag rough, heavy and hard objects on the wooden floor. When placing it, you should also put a protective pad on it, and pay attention to handling it with care; Articles with angular bottom should not be placed directly on the wooden floor to prevent operation. If there is any operation, it should be repaired at any time. When repairing, whether it is nail arrangement, specification form or paint tone, we should strive to restore the original state to avoid disharmony and inconsistency with the overall wooden floor, which will affect its overall beauty.
4. Anti-fouling solid wood floors are also afraid of dirt. If it is the general dirt left by water-soluble substances, you can wipe off the floating dust first, and then wipe it with a soft rag dipped in strong tea water, detergent water or orange peel water soaked in orange peel. This can not only remove dirt, but also restore the surge of paint film. If it is dirt that is difficult to remove, such as phlegm, gum, oil paint, etc. Don't rush to use gasoline for the above reasons. We must carefully distinguish the nature of dirt, and then decide to use different methods and different detergents to clean it. Cleaning agents with unclear chemical properties should not be used at will to avoid chemical reaction with paint and damage the floor. Do not use it easily. Don't scrape with hard tools or knives that are easy to damage the paint film. Experts and masters should be consulted to decide the treatment plan.
Second, maintenance
1. Pollution prevention You can wax the floor every two or three months. Before waxing, dust and scale should be removed, and then a clean lint-free soft rag should be dipped in wax, starting from one side of the wooden floor, and circular wiping should be done on the wooden floor in turn. After wiping evenly, wipe it again from the edge of the original wipe with the original rag (no longer dipped in wax) according to the above scheme. Waxed floor surface can not only clean this place, but also protect the paint film and delay aging.
2. After three to five years of painting, the floor can be repainted with the same paint as before. Before painting, in addition to dust and scale removal, we should also use fine water mill sandpaper and dip it in warm water to gently polish the board surface to remove residual oil stains and paint particles left by the last painting. After polishing, wipe it with a clean rag, and then you can paint it. The painted floor will be smoother, cleaner and brighter.
