Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, also known as Classic of Materia Medica or Classic of Materia Medica, is one of the four classic works of Chinese medicine. The synopsis of the golden chamber is a place where ancient emperors preached and recorded, which shows that the content of this book is precious.

Huangfu Mi in the Western Jin Dynasty, with 12 volumes and 128 articles, was written in 282 AD. The first six volumes discuss the basic theory, and the last six volumes record the clinical treatment of various diseases, including etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, acupoint selection, treatment and prognosis.
Acupoints are defined by the division and classification of meridians, and the indications and contraindications, acupuncture depth and times of strong moxibustion of each acupoint are described in detail. This is the earliest extant monograph on acupuncture in China.
