Wangcun Town is located in the loess hilly area in the northwest of Xiangyuan County, with overlapping mountains, vertical and horizontal valleys, high terrain in the northwest and low terrain in the southeast, steep slopes and scarce flat land. The main mountain ranges are Shiqiang Mountain, Changling Mountain and Xiaoqingshan Mountain. The town is rich in water resources. The main river is Shishui River, and its tributaries are Longwangtang River, Shibei River and Shishu River. Underground coal resources are abundant and the coal quality is good. Because it is buried too deep, it is difficult to mine. The forest coverage rate reaches 80%, which is an ecological wetland in the county.
