2. Introduction of scenic spots
Kongtong Mountain, located in Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is the fortress at the west exit of the ancient Silk Road. The scenic spot is 84 square kilometers, the main peak is 2 123 meters above sea level, and the forest coverage rate is over 95%. The peaks of the Kongtong Mountain Group are majestic, and the steep cliffs stand ingeniously; The vast forest, smoke cage fog lock, such as ethereal fairyland; Xiapinghu, with water and sky, has the charm of Lijiang River. It is rich in majestic mountains in the north and beautiful scenery in the south. There are eight units and forty-two buildings, nine palaces and twelve courtyards, and seventy-two caves, which are magnificent and rich in details. They combine the natural landscape with the ancient and exquisite humanistic landscape, and have extremely high ornamental, cultural and scientific research value. Known as "the first Taoist mountain in China" since ancient times. Kongtong Mountain is adjacent to Liupanshan in the west, Qinchuan Mountain in the east, related mountains in the south, Xiaoguan Mountain in the north, Jinghe River and Rouge River in the north, which meet in front of Wangjiashan. Since 1994, Kongtong Mountain has been successively awarded as a national scenic spot, the first batch of 5A-level tourist attractions, a national geological park, a national nature reserve, an ancient architectural complex of Kongtong Mountain, a national key cultural relic protection unit, "Top 10 scenic spots with customer satisfaction in China", "Top 10 influential brands in China tourism industry" and "China attracts foreigners the most". On July 26th, 2003, the State Post Bureau issued the special stamp "Kongtong Mountain", which consists of the most representative landscapes of Kongtong Mountain, namely, the Imperial City, Tan Xiazheng, Tayuan, and St. Leifeng, and was listed in the "National Business Card". On June 27th, 2006, 165438+ Kongtong Mountain Scenic Area won the title of "China's most attractive tourist attraction".
