Laozi said in the fifty-first chapter of the Tao Te Ching: "Tao is born, Tao is preserved, Tao is shaped, and Tao is shaped. It is because everything respects Tao and is virtuous. " Tao gives birth to everything, moral education to everything, and everything has its own shape, thus becoming a concrete thing with personality. Therefore, everything respects morality. "Tao" and "virtue" are interlinked, and the growth of all things depends on it. The "Tao" obtained by all things comes from nature, while the "virtue" of all things needs to be cultivated the day after tomorrow. "Tao" endows people with life, but people's life should be nourished by virtue and enriched in the growth of life.
First, medical care first improves morality.
Laozi's "virtue" is not what we understand today. What he said is that "virtue" is the endowment of all things. People's endowment includes both congenital conditions and acquired moral cultivation.
Laozi "supports his life" by "repairing", which is Xiu De. He regards the cultivation of virtue as equally important as respecting Tao, and puts forward the idea that virtue is the foundation of life. He believes that human health includes both physical and mental aspects, and he first brought moral cultivation into the category of life and health.
Laozi's thought is very scientific, has universal value and has been universally recognized. The World Health Organization (WHO) 1999 has formulated four standards for healthy people: physical health, mental health, moral health and good social adaptability, including moral health.
Laozi also said: "The noble Tao makes the husband's life smooth." The so-called moral cultivation means respecting morality. No one needs to give orders, but they should always, naturally and consciously obey them.
Confucius agreed with Lao Zi very much. He said that "moral cultivation" can reflect a person's inner cultivation. Confucius also said: "Those who are great in virtue will get their place, their wealth, their fame and their longevity." Only highly respected people deserve to enjoy higher status, better treatment, higher fame and longer life.
This thought of Confucius is similar to the thought of "respecting morality and carrying things" in the Book of Changes. Martins, a Brazilian medical expert, studied the long-lived elderly in 10, and found that most people who live long, about 90% of the elderly, are highly respected.
Huangdi Neijing said: real people, wise men, saints and sages, these four kinds of people who live a long life are all "virtuous people", and only virtuous people can enjoy life.
Laozi said in the fifty-fourth chapter of Tao Te Ching: "Virtue is true only when it is cultivated". It means: cultivate one's morality by Tao, and morality is the truth. True virtue is true moral cultivation, not dual personality; Is the real moral standard, not a hypocritical show.
Laozi first put forward the viewpoint of "health preservation first, self-cultivation and self-cultivation" Shi Tianji, a health care expert in the Qing Dynasty, said: "Those who are good at health care should attach importance to morality and health care." A person who is good at keeping in good health should give priority to moral cultivation, supplemented by physical conditioning, which is his correct understanding of Laozi's thought of keeping in good health.
Second, to cultivate morality is to be kind.
How should people cultivate self-cultivation and prolong life? Lao Tzu said, "Nothing is nothing". Virtue is embodied in human nature, and "inaction" means not doing anything against human nature, that is, kindness.
Laozi said in the fifty-fifth chapter of Tao Te Ching: "Virtue is thicker than purity. Bees don't sting snakes, animals have no evidence, and birds don't fight. " A person with profound virtue is like a newborn baby. Bees, scorpions and poisonous snakes don't bite him, wild animals don't catch him, and raptors don't hit him. Laozi thinks that virtue and happiness are a causal relationship. Virtuous people are naive, do not go to extremes and do no harm to others, so they can overcome ugliness and cruelty without being hurt.
The interpretation of Huangdi Neijing is: "Its moral integrity is not dangerous". If your morality is high, there will be no danger to your life, the probability of abnormal death will be low, and you can live longer.
Laozi said in the 40th chapter of Tao Te Ching: "The strong will not die", and the violent will not die a natural death. He Shanggong's note: Strong beam is not unbelieving mystery, not betraying morality, not following teachings, but being competent. Those who are not allowed to die, those who are cut by fate, those who are killed by the sword and those who are killed by the king are not allowed to be killed by life. Abusive people don't respect the Tao, don't cultivate morality, specialize in things that violate morality, don't listen to the teachings of saints, bully the city and run amok. This kind of person will die of natural causes, and God will punish him, either by being killed or punished by the king, and he will not lead a normal life. Lao Tzu believes that if a person does evil, he will die unnatural and natural.
He also believes: "Heaven and earth live a long life, which is a metaphor for teaching people. They have no resentment against the world, so they live a long life." If people want to live a long life, they must follow the example of heaven and earth, do not do evil, not be resented, and be as kind as heaven and earth in order to live a long life.
Third, accumulating virtue means accumulating longevity.
The word "virtue" in Tao Te Ching is also linked with "virtue", which means that only with virtue can "virtue" be achieved. Where does "virtue" come from? The sky doesn't fall, and you keep accumulating. This is called "accumulating virtue". To accumulate virtue is to accumulate goodness, and to accumulate goodness is to constantly do good deeds and accumulate virtue through doing good deeds.
I Ching said, "If you accumulate good things, there will be Qing Yu. If you accumulate bad things, there will be more disasters. " Those who cultivate virtue must have many auspicious blessings; Those who accumulate evil deeds will inevitably leave many disasters. What I'm talking about here is that good is rewarded with good, and evil with evil. This is not a feudal superstition, but a causal relationship. Everything has a cause and effect.
?
In the 59th chapter of Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu said, "Early service and heavy accumulation of virtue". After understanding the truth of karma, we should accumulate virtue as soon as possible. Because "longevity comes from virtue", only virtue can lead to longevity.
So now many entrepreneurs and artists come to do charity after they have money. Donate for disaster relief, help the poor, donate money to study, repay the society in various ways of doing good, and accumulate virtue for yourself. Sir Run Run Run Shaw of Hong Kong donated tens of billions to build schools and hospitals, and lived to the age of 107. Mr. Li Ka-shing, who donated money to establish Shantou University and the Yangtze River Education Fund, is still working at the age of 90. Accumulated virtue is accumulated longevity, and accumulated virtue is accumulated longevity; If you are wicked, you will die; If you lack virtue, you will lose your life.
Does Kidd have to be like Shaw and Li Ka-shing? No, people's abilities are different, and everyone has his own way of accumulating virtue. "Don't do it with small evils, don't do it with small goodness" is a good thing. It is also a virtue that you give your seat to the old man on the bus; It is also a good thing for taxi drivers to collect money and return it to the owner.
Laozi said in the thirty-third chapter of Tao Te Ching: "Those who die without dying live a long life." Living in people's hearts after death is the real longevity. This is a concept of "the virtuous live forever". I think it is more important for a person to live a long life.
.
Cang Kejia, a modern poet, has a famous saying, which is completely connected with Laozi's thought. He said: "Some people are alive, but they are dead; Some people are dead and he is still alive. " People without morality are living dead. People with high morality will always live in people's hearts.
