What is the reason for the dim light on the projector screen? Shenzhen Sony projector maintenance center will help you explain it in detail.
The screen is dark.

In case of this phenomenon, we should first check whether the ambient light is strong. If the ambient light is too strong, it will weaken the effective light source energy projected by the projector on the screen, thus causing the screen to look dim. Once you find that the ambient light is very strong, you can turn off some light sources or use curtains to block the outside light and try to dim the ambient light. In addition, in order to prevent the reflected light from the wall, floor or ceiling of the projection environment from "disturbing" the projection screen, we also need to ensure the environment where the projector is located, and use the floor, screen, wall, curtains and so on. Try to have a relatively rough surface.

Secondly, check whether the distance between the projector and the screen is too long. Once the position between the screen and the projector is far away, the light source energy projected by the projector will be lost in long-distance air transmission, so that the effective light source energy received on the screen will be less, and the screen will look dim. Therefore, in the process of demonstration, everyone must adjust the distance between the screen and the projector to ensure that the light source energy projected by the projector is absorbed by the screen as much as possible.

Third, check whether the projector works at a higher output resolution. If not, you can try to set the output resolution of the projector higher, because under the same projection brightness, the projection picture with high resolution naturally looks clearer and brighter than the projection picture with low resolution.

Fourth, check whether the area projected on the screen by the projector is large. Generally speaking, the projected light with equal energy tends to feel brighter when projected on a smaller screen, while it tends to feel darker when projected on a larger screen. This is because when the projection light source energy is constant, the average light source energy obtained by a larger projection screen is generally smaller per unit area, so the brightness effect per unit area will be poor. Therefore, once the screen size is found to be too large, it is advisable to adjust the focal length and strive to control the projection screen area at an appropriate value.

Fifth, confirm whether the projection bulb has been used for a long time. If it is too long, it is likely that the projection bulb is aging. If you are familiar with the projector, you might as well open the shell of the projector and turn the threaded lens. Once the surface of the bulb is found to be grayish yellow or grayish black, it means that the projection bulb is indeed aging. At this time, the only way is to replace the old light bulb and buy a new light bulb that meets the requirements of the projector, which can eliminate the failure of dim screen light.
