Treatise on Febrile Diseases is a special book on syndrome differentiation and treatment of various exogenous febrile diseases. It is the first classic medical work integrating theory with practice in China and one of the four classic works of traditional Chinese medicine. This brilliant work is the Collection of Ancient Medical Prescriptions written by Zhang Zhongjing, a famous doctor in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was completed at the beginning of the third century A.D. and spread for more than 1,700 years. The book was originally named Treatise on Typhoid Miscellaneous Diseases, which included typhoid miscellaneous diseases. Due to the frequent wars in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the original book was not completely lost, and the typhoid part was compiled by Wang Shuhe in the Western Jin Dynasty.
