The National Health and Wellness Committee recently issued "Basic Standards for Community Hospitals (Trial)" and "Key Points of Medical Quality and Safety Core System for Community Hospitals (Trial)", stipulating that community hospitals must set up Chinese medicine departments and be equipped with a certain proportion of Chinese medicine practitioners.
In terms of clinical departments, the standard requires community hospitals to set up at least five specialties: general medicine, rehabilitation medicine and Chinese medicine, including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, stomatology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, psychiatry, hospice care and blood purification room.
For public health departments, at least preventive health care departments, vaccination clinics, maternal and child health clinics, health education rooms and family planning technical service rooms should be set up.
In terms of personnel, the proportion of non-health technicians in community health centers is no more than 15%, there are no less than 3 general practitioners and no less than 2 public health doctors, and a certain proportion of Chinese medicine practitioners are equipped.
At the same time, medical laboratory (laboratory), medical imaging department, electrocardiogram room and western (Chinese) pharmacy should be set up.
