Most patients with sleep disorders urinate frequently at night, and they all have leg edema. The water usually accumulated in the lower body will gradually flow back to the heart through veins and lymph glands during the process of lying down and sleeping, and then enter the kidney through arteries and become urine. Therefore, it will cause the possibility of waking up because of urination during sleep, and the sympathetic nerve will be activated and sleep will be lost.
Whether you exercise your ankles or massage your calves before going to bed, it is helpful to urinate before going to bed. This will not only reduce the chance of waking up in the middle of the night, but also allow your blood vessels and heart to get a full rest during sleep, so that your blood pressure will naturally not rise because of visceral overwork.
Habit 2: Start sitting in the toilet at night.
Many men are used to going to the toilet standing up, which is actually the reason why the problem of hypertension in men is more serious than that in women. Compared with women sitting on the toilet, men need to use more abdominal strength if they go to the toilet in a standing position. As soon as the pressure in the abdominal cavity rises, the sympathetic nerves will start to be nervous, and the blood pressure will rise higher and more rapidly than when they go to the toilet in a sitting position.
If you go to the toilet in a sitting position after six o'clock in the evening when the sympathetic nerve begins to relax, your blood pressure will naturally not soar and your sleep quality will naturally improve.
Habit 3: Wrap a towel around your neck or use a neck pillow when you sleep.
There is an arteriovenous anastomosis (AVA) in the neck, which is responsible for regulating body temperature. This blood vessel is connected with the thermoregulatory center of the brain. If you can keep AVA warm during sleep, your body temperature will be more stable during sleep.
