Located in the ancient capital Xi 'an, the PLA Air Force Medical University (the Fourth Military Medical University) is a key comprehensive medical university directly under the China People's Liberation Army Air Force and a national "world-class discipline construction university".
The predecessor of Xi Jiao Tong University School of Medicine is the National Beijing Medical College. The school is located in the cultural area of colleges and universities in the southern suburbs of Xi. As a part of the A-level construction of world-class universities, it is responsible for the overall management of medical education, teaching, scientific research and medical services in Xi Jiaotong University. Xi 'an Medical College is a private full-time general medical college approved by the Ministry of Education in 2009 and supervised by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education.
