The so-called "eight positive" is eight of the twenty-four solar terms. In chronological order, they are beginning of spring, Spring Equinox, Long Summer, Summer Solstice, beginning of autumn, Autumn Equinox, beginning of winter and Winter Solstice. Every season has two solar terms, and * * * accounts for one third of all solar terms. Solar terms are determined according to the position of the sun on the ecliptic, and the movement of celestial bodies has an impact on agriculture and the human body. Keeping in good health according to the solar terms, especially paying attention to the "eight rectifications", embodies the holistic view of "harmony between man and nature" in traditional Chinese medicine.
