Who is Qingyuan in Daming Palace Ci?
Lee Tae, Li Zhi's elder brother, was a pair of twins in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Li Zhi almost put him to death when he acceded to the throne. Wu Zetian saved his life, so he wanted to help Wu Zetian get back at Li Zhi. He used the contradiction between Li Xian and Wu Zetian to pretend to be a counselor around Li Xian, namely Guo Quanzhen.

Li Xian wanted to use Guo Quanzhen (in the Ming and Qing Dynasties) to launch a coup, but he didn't know that he was cheated by Guo Quanzhen (in the Ming and Qing Dynasties). His plan clearly told Zhiwu, but Ming's ambition could not escape Wu Zetian's eyes, so Wu Yishi killed Ming and blamed his death on Xian, forcing Xian to give way to the prince.

abstract

Chang 'an is shrouded in drizzle, which people say indicates that God will give Datang a beautiful princess.

In the depths of the palace, Wu Zetian was shrouded in an atmosphere more gloomy than the weather. She has been pregnant 12 months, unable to bear children, which convinced her that her daughter who was strangled in infancy by herself many years ago because of a power struggle came back. She prayed for her daughter's understanding and forgiveness in front of the Buddha statue countless times.

When the good news of Tang Jun's victory over the Turks came, the princess was finally born in the imperial court. This strange experience made Emperor Li Zhi believe that his daughter's birth brought good luck to the world, and he was named Princess Taiping on the spot. Thus, a woman's magnificent and bumpy life began.

Wu Zetian devoted special care and love to her since she was born in Taiping. When my brothers lived in fear under the shadow of power and the majesty of their mother, Taiping realized all the glory, beauty and pride that the royal family could give a woman, and the tragedy of her life buried a deep curse in this happy childhood.

Fourteen-year-old Taiping met the handsome warrior Xue Shao on the masked carnival night of the Lantern Festival, which made her fall in love with a girl. Wu Zetian died for Xue Shao's wife out of love for her daughter, so that Taiping could marry Xue Shao.

In the end, Xue Shao met the sword in Taiping's hand with his unswerving determination to his wife and irresistible respect and love for Taiping. Xue Shao's death revealed the estrangement truth that troubled Taiping, and Taiping realized the terrible power and mother's domineering for the first time.

During this period, the accidental death of eldest brother Hong, the dismissal of second brother Xian and the abolition of third brother Xian all deepened the misunderstanding between mother and daughter, and the Cold War began for several years.

Taiping married Wu Yousi, a kind, honest and frank and incompetent woman, in order to fight against her mother. Not only was Wu Zetian not annoyed, but she was empowered by decree: Taiping could divorce her husband anytime and anywhere.

And Taiping began to hate being born in the emperor's house. Wu Yousi won Wu Zetian's favor because of his meritorious service in developing aphrodisiac, and also had an unexpected extramarital affair because of aphrodisiac. He was ashamed of Taiping and committed suicide.

After two failed marriages, Taiping was disheartened, and she turned her enthusiasm to the government affairs of the imperial dynasty. Moved by her mother's broad mind and feelings of saving the world, she helped Wu Zetian make her the only queen in history.

Wu Zetian made her a princess of the kingdom. Taiping thought it was her wisdom that ended the nightmare of the cruel official system, but Taiping paid too much attention to her own feelings, which made it difficult for her to cope with the cold and sinister political struggle and her career was greatly frustrated.

At this moment, Zhang Yizhi, a man who looks like Xue Shao, broke into her heart and shook her faith in the purity of love.

Wu Zetian, who had insight into everything, saw through Zhang Yizhi's real purpose of using women to satisfy his inflated selfish desires and attempted to take Zhang Yizhi away from Taiping. Taiping's heart has been closed to love since then.

Over time, the elderly Wu Zetian is also enjoying the nothingness and disillusionment of life at the top of power. As a Toy Boy, Zhang Yizhi was driven crazy by desire and tried to use Wu Zetian's sense of loss to usurp power.

At this critical moment, Taiping once again showed his wisdom and courage, led his troops to smash the coup plot in one fell swoop, and persuaded his mother to return the country to the Lee family.

Taiping won the first victory in the feud with her mother. Wu Zetian's emotional statement before her death finally resolved the misunderstanding and resentment of the two for decades, and her mother and daughter cried bitterly.

Taiping's political prestige reached its peak, so the contradiction between her and Huang's sister-in-law Webster gradually surfaced. As a queen, Wei tried to be the second Wu Zetian, but she lacked the wisdom and mind of Wu Zetian.

Emperor Zhongzong indulged Webster for many years, but he was afraid that the country would be destroyed by himself. Princess Anle poisoned Zhong Zongxian with incense. Taiping was more than I could bear. After a life-and-death struggle, the Webster family was overthrown and the Datang Jiangshan was once again saved by Taiping.

It seems that all the turmoil has passed, but the power struggle, the devil in royal life, has not disappeared. Xue Shao's son, Xue Chongjian, wanted Taiping to reign in order to repay his father's debt to Taiping and revenge his rights.

He poisoned Li Chongmao (the son of Webster's) without telling Taiping, forcing Li Dan to die. After Li Dan's death, things were exposed and Taiping was furious. Finally, when he assassinated Li Longji, he was killed by Li Longji. In the end, only Li Longji survived.

Li Longji revealed to Taiping his deep feelings for her, which surpassed those of his aunt and nephew, and Taiping was desperately tired of the struggle for rights. In the rainy night, facing the three-foot white silk, she recalled her magnificent but unfortunate life, hanged herself and died alone in the depths of Daming Palace.

Creation background

Director Li said he didn't want to stick to history too much. The original script is the novel Princess Taiping, which tells the story of Princess Taiping alone. Later, it was changed into a play of two women, with the focus on the contradiction between women's feelings and power.

Wu Zetian and Princess Taiping are mother and daughter. They are all women, have a strong desire for feelings and are the center of power. "Taiping is the main narrative angle of this play. We designed her as a person who lived for her feelings, but Wu Zetian sacrificed her feelings because of her power. They formed a strong contradiction.
