"Summer heat" means heat. Slight summer heat means that the hot weather has just begun, but it has not yet reached the hottest time. After the slight summer heat, autumn rain began to fall. At this time, the temperature is high, the air pressure is low, the humidity is high, the wind speed is low, and there are many thunderstorms and strong winds. Affected by the hot and humid climate, the human body is prone to heatstroke, heart disease, skin disease and gastrointestinal diseases. Summer health should pay attention to the following five points.
First, it is cool in summer, and it is quiet when you move less.
During the hot summer, the temperature is high and the humidity is high, so it is easy to get heatstroke. It is characterized by thirst, nausea, dizziness, chest tightness, palpitation, fatigue, abnormal sweating and body heat. In severe cases, there will be high fever and fainting. When heatstroke occurs, people need to go to a cool place as soon as possible and drink some drinks or medicines to relieve the summer heat. Severe cases should be sent to hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
To prevent heatstroke, we must first keep the environment cool, pay attention to window ventilation, and use air conditioners and fans appropriately to reduce the ambient temperature; Pay attention to timely hydration, drink some cool drinks such as honeysuckle dew, mung bean soup and sour plum soup before and after going out, and eat more fruits and vegetables and meat, eggs and milk foods rich in protein; Clothes are light and soft, loose and breathable; Try to choose morning and evening time when going out for exercise to avoid long-term direct sunlight; Always keep heatstroke prevention and cooling drugs around you, such as Huoxiang Zhengqi Water.
Summer weather is sultry, human energy consumption increases, and it is easy to feel tired and weak, and there will be "summer emotional disorders" such as irritability, thinking disorder and depression. Therefore, we should pay special attention to mental and emotional recovery, avoid recklessness and anger when problems arise, keep a calm mind and emotional stability, and achieve "calm mind and natural calmness". In work and life, we should pay attention to the combination of work and rest, adhere to the principle of "less movement and more quiet", go to nature, go for a walk in the park, see the scenery in the mountains and rivers, or read and draw, drink tea and recite poems and take advantage of it in a quiet room.
Second, protect your heart and get enough sleep.
In midsummer, the climate is sultry, people are prone to shortness of breath and poor exercise tolerance after exercise, which is also the season when the elderly are most prone to cardiovascular accidents. Therefore, the elderly must pay attention to maintaining their hearts in summer.
The elderly should first ensure adequate rest and sleep during the hot summer. Patients with chronic diseases should try to stay in a relatively cool room and try to avoid long-term activities at high temperature. After sweating, you can add light salt water appropriately. When using air conditioning, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor should not be too large, so as to avoid eating too cold food and prevent cold stimulation from causing rapid contraction of heart blood vessels and inducing angina pectoris. In order to prevent angina pectoris when sleeping at night, the bedside can be raised by 8- 10cm.
Chinese medicine believes that during the summer heat, it is most likely to damage the heart, qi and yin, and there are symptoms such as palpitation, shortness of breath and chest tightness. Such patients can take drugs such as Shengmaiyin and Astragalus membranaceus, which have the functions of benefiting qi and nourishing yin.
Third, clear away heat and dry dampness, and prevent and treat skin diseases.
The hot and humid climate in summer can easily lead to a variety of skin diseases, such as furuncle, miliaria, eczema, insect bite dermatitis, solar dermatitis, papular urticaria, tinea pedis and so on. In order to reduce the troubles of skin diseases, we should pay attention to: indoor ventilation and cooling to avoid excessive humidity and high temperature; Dress loosely, change clothes frequently, try to keep your skin clean and dry, wipe your sweat with a dry towel, take a bath frequently, and apply prickly heat powder after bathing; After the light summer season, be careful not to sit on wooden chairs and stools in the open air for a long time to avoid getting wet.
In addition, patients with skin diseases should avoid taking warm foods or drugs, and eat foods with heat-clearing and dampness-drying effects, such as wax gourd, loofah, bitter gourd and lotus leaf. Washing honeysuckle with boiling water can also eliminate malnutrition and relieve itching.
Fourth, the diet should be clear and appropriate to protect the spleen and stomach.
The weather is hot in summer, so the diet should be light. Don't eat too much spicy, high-oil, high-sugar and high-fat food. Choosing fresh fruits and vegetables with sweet and sour taste and high water content, such as tomatoes, mangoes, watermelons, cucumbers and lettuce, will help to stimulate appetite and replenish water. There is also the folk custom of eating lotus root and mung bean sprouts in summer. Fresh lotus root is simmered with low fire and eaten with honey, which has the functions of clearing away heat, removing annoyance and helping sleep. Mung bean sprouts have the effect of clearing heat and detoxifying, and can be fried or cold.
There is also the custom of food tonic in summer, which has three purposes. First, it can supplement the physical energy consumed in summer, such as eating duck, lean pork, beef, eggs and milk to supplement protein; Second, it can promote perspiration. Although it is hot in summer, proper perspiration is conducive to the timely discharge of cold and dampness in the body and the prevention of summer colds. The traditional custom in the north lies in the second floor of jiaozi, which is intended to promote perspiration; Third, it can warm the yang and make up for winter diseases in summer. As the saying goes, "Monopterus albus participates in summer". Monopterus albus has the functions of tonifying middle energizer, liver and kidney, expelling wind and removing dampness, and strengthening bones and muscles, and has certain nourishing effect on some patients with chronic bronchitis and rheumatoid arthritis in remission. There is also the custom of drinking mutton soup in summer in the north, which is suitable for people with yang deficiency and cold.
In addition, high temperature in summer is also a high incidence period of acute gastroenteritis. Pay attention to the choice of fresh, hygienic and digestible food. The food taken out of the refrigerator should be heated before eating, so as to avoid eating too many cold drinks and food, so as not to damage the spleen and stomach. Patients with spleen and stomach deficiency and cold can drink some ginger tea in summer morning, which can help digestion and improve appetite.
5. Nourishing Yang and Eliminating Diseases, Treating Winter Diseases in Summer
After the summer falls, it is the best time to treat winter diseases in summer. "Treating winter diseases in summer" refers to adjusting the yin and yang of human body, preventing and treating diseases that are prone to occur in winter.
Summer treatment of winter diseases is mainly used to treat diseases with deficiency-cold constitution and low immunity, such as repeated colds, asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic diarrhea, chronic gastritis and dysmenorrhea.
Acupoint sticking is one of the most important treatment methods for "treating winter diseases in summer". The skin is slack in dog days, and drugs can easily penetrate into acupoints and meridians from the skin, which can get twice the result with half the effort. Besides, dietotherapy, medicine and acupuncture are all commonly used therapies for treating winter diseases in summer.
