These ten precautions and preventive care must be kept in mind by patients with allergic asthma.
In spring, everything grows and nature is full of vitality. This is the season that people yearn for. The solar term is in Tomb-Sweeping Day, and the temperature rises in the northern region, with little precipitation. This is the dusty time of the year. Patients with allergic asthma are also prone to induce and aggravate asthma symptoms during this time. Today, I will take you to learn the precautions and prevention points of allergic asthma in daily life.

What is allergic asthma?

Allergic asthma, also known as atopic or allergic asthma, refers to asthma caused or triggered by allergens. Allergic asthma is the most common type of bronchial asthma The pathogenesis of allergic asthma is actually that our immune system has produced some wrong cognition. Under normal circumstances, our body's immune system will only respond to harmful substances such as bacteria and viruses, but due to cognitive impairment, the immune system will respond to some common but harmless substances, which we call allergens.

What are the common allergens?

Allergens can be mainly divided into inhalation and food.

The common asthma-related inhalation allergens in China mainly include dust mites, pollen (including cypress, phoenix tree, ash tree, birch, poplar and willow in spring, Artemisia pollen, humulus scandens and ragweed pollen in summer and autumn), fungi, cat hair, dog hair, dander and cockroaches;

However, food allergens can enter the body through ingestion or inhalation, thus inducing allergic reactions. Asthma caused only by food allergies is rare and common in people with severe allergies. A multi-center study in China shows that the most common foods that cause allergic reactions in children are milk, eggs, nuts, beans, fruits, fish and shrimp, peanuts and so on.

Matters needing attention in allergic asthma

① Avoid contact with environmental allergens: You can know which substances your body is allergic to through allergen prick test and other methods, and you should actively take measures to avoid or reduce contact with allergens as much as possible in your daily life:

A. Dust mites: keep the environment clean, clean the room regularly, and pay more attention to the ventilation of the room and the dryness of the mattress; Change the bedding frequently. Clothes and bedding should be washed with hot water above 55℃, or bedding, mattress and pillow should be wrapped with anti-mite cloth. Reduce the use of carpets and replace them with wooden floors; It is not recommended that plush toys and pets go to bed; Clean the air conditioner filter regularly.

B. Pollen: Patients who are allergic to pollen should go out as little as possible during the pollen season and wear masks when going out.

C. Mould: The basement, vent and bathroom should be dehumidified regularly to keep the room dry and ventilated; Try to avoid staying in indoor swimming pools, steam baths and greenhouses for a long time; Clean up the garbage in time to avoid contact with soil, compost and dead leaves; Books, newspapers, carpets and clothes should be moisture-proof and mildew-proof, and food should be stored reasonably to prevent mildew and deterioration.

② Standardize the regular medication: Because asthma has the characteristics of intermittent attacks, the most common misunderstanding of patients is "paying more attention to treatment than prevention"-taking drugs only when symptoms appear, and stopping taking drugs only when symptoms are relieved; In the attack stage, it depends on rapid relief drugs, and in the remission stage, it resists long-term controlled drugs. It should be emphasized that asthma is a chronic disease and needs long-term treatment. If we only take emergency measures and treat asthma only when it attacks, and do not use drugs to control the remission period, it will make the disease more likely to attack and progress, affect everyone's quality of life, and also lead to the decline of lung function, irreversible airway airflow restriction, and develop into chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

③ Correct use of inhalers: Some patients can't use inhalers correctly, which often leads to poor or even ineffective medication.

④ Active treatment and prevention: such as repeated upper and lower respiratory tract infections, chronic allergic rhinitis, sinusitis and gastroesophageal reflux.

Prevention and nursing of allergic asthma

① Daily moderate physical exercise, such as Baduanjin and Tai Ji Chuan, to enhance their physical fitness and disease resistance, and pay attention to avoid bad weather such as smog and sandstorm.

② Work and rest regularly, and try to avoid staying up late.

③ Actively adjust mentality and maintain emotional stability.

(4) Pay attention to keep warm and cold when changing seasons to prevent respiratory diseases such as colds and coughs.

⑤ Diet should be light and nutritious, and avoid eating foods that are too cold, greasy, spicy and irritating. Foods that are already obviously allergic should be fasted.

⑥ Three-day patch: a "relieving asthma patch" based on the theory of nourishing yang in spring and summer and nourishing yin in autumn and winter. For three days in a year, Shu Fei, Xinshu and Shu Ge points on the bladder meridian of Foot Taiyang, which is full of human yang, are selected for sticking treatment, so as to achieve the effects of warming meridians, activating yang, resolving phlegm and relieving asthma.
