First of all, they are different in nature. Tai Ji Chuan exercises the body of limbs, while Qigong exercises the internal qi under the guidance of ideas. Secondly, qigong seeks movement in quietness, that is, seeking internal qi movement; Tai Ji Chuan's seeking quietness in motion is only a means and method (resisting motion with quietness), and quietness is not an end, but the real purpose he pursues, and it is also the movement of internal qi.
