1, choose to grow ginger.
Before planting, ginger is selected, and ginger blocks with full fat, uniform size, full buds, no rot, no pests and diseases and no damage are selected as ginger.
2. Choose seeds to accelerate germination.
In mid-March, the stored ginger seeds are taken out and dried for 5-6 hours, then the diseased ginger with rotten stems is removed, and the fatter ginger with exposed bud tips is selected as the seed. Put the selected ginger in the greenhouse to accelerate germination.
3. Choose the land for preparing fertilizer
The plot for planting ginger requires fertile soil, loam or clay, convenient irrigation and drainage in the field, preferably a slightly inclined hillside. Tillage and soil preparation before planting, prepare enough organic fertilizer, and use human excrement and plant ash compost superphosphate and compound fertilizer for later use two days in advance.
4. Pick ginger buds.
Before and after "Tomb-Sweeping Day", choose a big round bud head on the planted ginger and break it off with the tuber by hand, leaving only a stout bud tip at the top of each tuber. If there is no bud tip at the top, there can be side buds, but only one side bud is left and the rest must be peeled off. If the buds are good, about 2000 ginger buds can be picked per 100 Jin of ginger.
5. Ditching and sowing
After the land is leveled, furrows (depth of 30 cm) shall be dug row by row for sowing, with row spacing of 30 cm and plant spacing of 25 cm. When planting, first put the tuber of ginger bud firmly, and pay attention to the fact that the bud head is close to the soil surface and cannot be tilted. Then grab a handful of fermented fertilizer by hand and put it next to the ginger buds, then cover it with organic fertilizer.
