The College of Pharmacy was established in 2005. Its predecessor was the Department of Pharmacy of Tongliao Vocational College, and it was renamed the College of Pharmacy in 2009. The pharmacy major is the only higher vocational pharmacy major in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. In 2007, pharmacy specialty was rated as brand specialty at autonomous region level; In 2008, pharmacology was rated as an excellent course at the autonomous region level, and 20 10 was rated as an excellent course at the autonomous region level. Pharmacy and natural medicinal chemistry were rated as excellent school-level courses in 2008 and 20 10 respectively. In 2008, the College of Pharmacy was rated as the leading institute (department) of scientific and technological innovation in the autonomous region, and the Party branch of the College of Pharmacy was rated as the advanced grassroots party branch at the autonomous region level. In 2009, two teaching teams, pharmacy major and pharmacology teaching and research section, were rated as excellent teaching teams by the school.
The College of Pharmacy now offers three higher vocational majors, pharmacy, drug management and pharmaceutical preparation technology, and two secondary vocational majors, pharmacy and drug management and management, with five teaching and research sections and 1 central laboratory. At present, there are 38 faculty members, including 4 full-time senior titles, 5 associate senior titles, 6 master's degrees, autonomous region famous teachers 1 person, "double-qualified" teachers1person, and 20 off-campus part-time teachers. The College of Pharmacy won 2 scientific and technological achievement awards above the municipal level, 3 national patents and 4 autonomous region projects, among which 1 won the first prize of higher education teaching achievement in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2009. The college has full-time students 1 148.
The college has 25 experimental training rooms with an area of 2,722 square meters, including drug simulation training room, drug preparation room, drug analysis experimental training room, specimen room and precision instrument room. Equipped with Shimadzu high performance liquid chromatograph, Shimadzu infrared spectrophotometer, gas chromatograph, ultraviolet spectrophotometer and other advanced instruments and equipment, which laid a solid foundation for practical teaching and scientific research. The college has 25 stable off-campus practice training bases, including Beijing Zheng Da Oasis Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Zheng Da Qingjiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., China People's Liberation Army 28 1 Hospital, Beijing Yangshengtang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Drug Instrument Inspection Institute of the Ministry of Health of the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army, Dalian Neptune Star Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Liaoning Haizhou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Jilin Pharmacy. Because the social market has been in short supply of pharmaceutical talents in higher vocational colleges, and the graduates trained by our college have high quality and strong practical ability, which are welcomed by employers, most students can practice with pay, and many employers come to apply for jobs during school or internship, which makes the initial employment rate of graduates of Pharmaceutical College over the years above 95%.
Facing the new situation of social development in the 2 1 century, the College of Pharmacy will continue to take development as the theme, reform as the driving force, employment as the guidance, take the road of school-enterprise cooperation and work-study combination, and cultivate high-quality skilled pharmaceutical talents to meet the needs of local and regional economic and social development.
