[shortcomings/perfection]
Although Xiang Xiu did not have a complete collection handed down from ancient times, he was a rare great philosopher and writer. According to the records, Xiang Xiu's main work is Zhuangzi's Annotation, which is called "the wonderful analysis of the strange and mysterious wind" and "the scholar is detached from his mind and forms his own family". After seeing this annotation, his good friend Lu An lamented that "Zhuang Zhou is immortal". Xiang embroidery also wrote the Book of Changes, which was lost today. There is also an article "It is difficult to keep in good health". There is an article "homesickness" in the Selected Works and the Book of Jin. There is an interesting episode about Xiang Xiu's comments on Zhuangzi. Ji Kang said at the beginning of Xiang Xiu's annotation that the mysterious meaning in Zhuangzi would be frozen by the annotation. There is no good annotation before, so it is better not to note Xiang embroidery. Later, Xiang embroidery basically wrote a note and showed it to Ji Kang. Ji Kang realized that Hyunri, who wrote Zhuangzi more brilliantly, was introduced to Xiang embroidery, so he was greatly impressed by the talent of Xiang embroidery. Xiang embroidery experienced great sadness and pain in the Ji and Lu events. Xiang embroidery realized in depression and confusion, and realized in depression and hesitation, becoming more indifferent and quiet. After he arrived in Luoyang, he devoted himself to the study of Zhuangzi Thought. So he closed the door, took notes with great concentration, and elaborated Zhuangzi's ideological spirit with his heart. But it's a pity that two of them, Qiushui and Zhile, have no comments, and Xiang embroidery is dead.
Xiang Xiu's three works, One Book, One Theory and One Fu, are all excellent works: his Notes on Zhuangzi created a new idea of metaphysical annotation, which is unsustainable for future generations; Difficult to preserve one's health is unique, but it can't compare with Ji Kang. His "Fu for Thinking of the Old" is a swan song, which has no comparison in Wei and Jin Dynasties.
