Known as "Shanghainese's Back Garden", this place is Guzhu Village in Changxing, Huzhou, and its name is impressively listed in the list of the first batch of national key rural tourism villages published on July 28th, 2065438.
My first impression of ancient bamboo was shocked by the scene of every family opening a farmhouse. Drive all the way through the tourist service center in Shuikou Township and go straight to Guzhu Village. The road is very wide, and towering trees are planted on the neat and orderly roadside. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and backed by Guzhu Mountain, it is isolated from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and the meandering stream flows through the village. This is a quiet and peaceful place.
There are more than 450 farmhouses in Guzhu Village, and about 90% people in the village are engaged in farmhouses and related industries. The farmhouses here are all run by enthusiastic local villagers, each with its own characteristics. Courtyard design of different sizes, bamboo hedges, corridors under vines, resting places under big trees, casual small wildflowers on street corners ... The busy figure of the boss, the noisy cooking in the kitchen, the cicada singing in the treetops at the door, a leisurely and stable life scene, the life here is pure.
Guzhu Village, famous for its purple bamboo shoots and tribute tea, is the birthplace of tea culture in China. Lu Yu, known as "Cha Sheng", once lived in ancient bamboo and planted a purple bamboo tea garden. Datang Gongcha Courtyard, located in Hutouyan, one side of Guzhu Mountain, is the production place of ancient bamboo purple bamboo shoot tea, with a history of 1000 years. It's just that the original Gongcha Courtyard has been damaged for a long time, and now it's rebuilt.
Gongcha Courtyard is built on the mountain, with Jixiang Temple Hall, Luyuge, Teahouse and Tea Pavilion. Long stone steps, all-wood imitation of the Tang Dynasty building structure, surrounded by many trees, antique, grand and simple. When you board Luyuge, you can also overlook the beautiful scenery in the distance, revealing the roof of the promenade not far away in the dense bamboo forest. The breeze blows slightly, and it doesn't feel hot in hot summer.
Tired of walking, you might as well have a rest in the teahouse, have a sip of purple bamboo shoot tea, smell the fragrance and have a sweet aftertaste. A plate of melon seeds and two or three friends can probably take an hour or two.

Besides tea culture, ancient bamboo also has an ancient temple-Shousheng Temple. Lingyin Temple is a household name in Hangzhou. It was built in Shousheng Temple more than 400 years ago and was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Incense has lasted for thousands of years and is a well-known temple in East China.
Go straight up the main road of Guzhu Village, and you will meet a clean reservoir surrounded by mountains, like jasper. The reservoir is the favorite place for tourists to take a walk and relax in Guzhu. There are wooden trails and hydrophilic platforms by the lake. On the other side is a straight and wide dam, which can see the panoramic view of the whole reservoir, with blue waves, continuous mountains and bamboo forests. The temperature in the morning is cool and pleasant, which is most suitable for leisure walking and entertainment, so many tourists meet here.
How many people are like this: when they are only 20 or 30 years old, they are still trying to make money, but they have already made plans for their old age retirement? Living with three or five friends in a place surrounded by carefree green hills, cool in summer, without special care, chatting and playing cards with each other, without disturbing family chores ... In Guzhu, it may be your old age.
The farmhouse here, including food and accommodation, is generally occupied by small groups, ranging from 3 days to one month. The time for breakfast, lunch and dinner is fixed, and the menu is different every day. Will be cooked according to the fresh ingredients of the day, with meat and vegetables, delicious and not greasy. Breakfast time is 7: 00, lunch time is 1 1: 00, and dinner time is 17: 00. However, most uncles and aunts get up early. At five or six o'clock, many people can already be seen walking, doing aerobics or singing opera on the dam and wooden plank road beside the reservoir.
During my life in Guzhu, I met a 90-year-old Yue Opera artist from Wuxi. After asking, I realized that she would come to the ancient bamboo in Changxing for a holiday every summer, which may have become a habit of hers. Every sunny morning and breezy evening, I will sing a few paragraphs with my friends by the wide reservoir, and the grandfather sitting opposite me skillfully plays the erhu to cooperate.
There are also many tourists from Shanghai, some of whom have just returned from abroad, stayed at home for a short time, and then came here for a holiday with their dogs. This state and life are really enviable.
The business model of Guzhu Village has one characteristic. Its tourist source is not through large-scale external advertising, but through the "word of mouth" of old customers to reach the present scale-booking hot farmhouse music, "improving quality without expanding the scope", and many tourists who come to recuperate and vacation are like a family. ...
