Listening to the lively cries that once echoed in old Beijing, looking for a historical accumulation, savoring the taste of this city and recalling some street customs that were once closely related to people in this land should be a very special pastime. A few days ago, the ballad CD "Old Beijing Shout" released by Si Qian Culture in Beijing can satisfy this desire, and this CD is not only a preservation of pure Beijing flavor culture, but also a clue for people to feel and remember.

This CD is a collection of hawkers selling in the streets of old Beijing decades ago. Some sell traditional snacks such as snowballs and candied haws, some sell things like stoves, casseroles and cupping, and some collect junk and send it to the God of Wealth to sell on the streets, with everything to eat and wear. These shouts came from 70-year-old folk artist Zang Hong. Father Zang grew up listening to shouts. At the age of three, he carried a basket to sell vegetables, sold newspapers and traveled all over the overpass and Diandian. Because he was fascinated by the peddlers' cries, he deliberately recorded more than 100 kinds of impressive peddling sounds he heard, so he was also called "the king of hawking in Beijing".

This CD also has an elaborate design, that is, a hardcover edition and a booklet, which introduces in detail the origin and background of each kind of propaganda, and even some street snacks. Looking around, the customs of old Beijing are vivid.
