Social practice members came to the community activity center to build a popular science propaganda station with the required popular science propaganda supplies and put them into the publicity activities of the day. Among them, the popular science knowledge quiz attracted the enthusiastic participation of community residents, especially children. Some questions stumped many children, but they learned new knowledge by helping each other and asking their parents, answered the questions correctly, and won themselves small gifts such as green plants, mouse pads and headphones. The activity also prepared a batch of popular science books for community residents free of charge, and set up small safety knowledge exhibition boards and distributed safety knowledge brochures in prominent positions in the community to further help community residents understand more scientific knowledge, improve their scientific literacy and promote community popular science work.
The community makes full use of popular science banners and popular science exhibition boards, distributes publicity materials, and publicizes daily popular science knowledge such as low-carbon life and coup, which greatly enriches the scientific and cultural life of the people in the jurisdiction. At the same time, in order to ensure that residents can learn popular science knowledge anytime and anywhere, they also organized residents in the jurisdiction to watch health knowledge lectures in distance education in the community. Through watching and studying, they enhanced their knowledge of popular science and health, and at the same time advocated a scientific, environmentally friendly and civilized life concept, which won unanimous praise from residents in their jurisdiction.
By opening up the publicity column of the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology in People's Republic of China (PRC), the window of social morality education, the corridor of spiritual civilization and other popular science education positions, the community has set up a law popularization course among residents, popularized legal knowledge, and extensively educated the young people in the community to love science and learn science, striving to form a scientific, civilized and healthy living atmosphere. Secondly, the activity was strongly supported by street units and three self-employed, which also expanded the scope of participation for the publicity activities of Science Popularization Day. This meaningful social activity has strengthened the popular science education for teenagers and improved their scientific and cultural literacy. Further popularize scientific knowledge, advocate scientific methods, and raise awareness of popular science.
