Campus culture is the sum of material culture, spiritual culture, behavioral culture and institutional culture formed in the process of school emergence, development and construction. It is an invisible classroom for college students' learning and growth, an important platform for ideological and political education and professional spirit education, and has cultural functions such as guidance, adjustment, edification and education [1]. Medical colleges and universities undertake the important mission of cultivating advanced medical talents, and medical students should undertake the sacred duty of saving lives after graduation, which determines the uniqueness of medical colleges and universities in the construction of campus culture.

At present, in the increasingly fierce competition among colleges and universities, building a unique high-quality campus culture is the key to the survival and development of medical colleges and universities, the only way to improve their core competitiveness, and an important way to cultivate high-quality medical talents with both ability and political integrity. Therefore, how to build a distinctive campus culture according to its own characteristics is a subject worthy of great attention.

1. Current Situation and Dilemma of Campus Culture Construction in Medical Colleges

In recent years, many medical colleges have begun to pay attention to and attach importance to the construction of characteristic campus culture, and have made some gratifying achievements, but there are still some shortcomings. To sort out the problems existing in the current cultural construction of medical colleges and universities, which are mainly manifested in three aspects:

First, the understanding of campus culture is biased. Many medical colleges have invested a lot of money in building teaching buildings, experimental buildings and libraries, but neglected the construction of campus culture and the essential function and main role of campus culture. This mode of campus construction, which emphasizes material over connotation, will inevitably lead to the lack of charm and personality culture of university culture, which will often make some universities lose their inherent characteristics and competitiveness [2].

The second is the lack of characteristic culture. Nowadays, campus cultural activities in colleges and universities are endless, but there are few campus cultural activities with real connotation, significance, high level and high taste. The phenomenon of emphasizing form over content in campus cultural activities is more prominent, and the tendency of vulgarization and utilitarianism is more obvious. The activity ignores the characteristics of medical colleges, the medical spirit contained in campus culture, and the mainstream culture of medical colleges, resulting in no personality and characteristics of campus culture.

The third is to ignore humanities education. In the training of talents in medical colleges, professional education is often overemphasized and humanistic education is neglected. At the beginning of the 20th century, Liang Sicheng once pointed out in the Half-Man Age that the separation of technology and humanity resulted in two kinds of deformed people: hollow people who only know technology but have pale souls and marginal people who don't know technology but talk about humanity [3]. Under the current education mode of medical colleges and universities, the professional quality of medical students is getting higher and higher, but the humanistic quality is seriously lacking. According to the investigation report of doctor-patient relationship of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, less than 20% of medical disputes are caused by technical reasons, and the remaining 80% are caused by problems such as service attitude, language communication and medical ethics. These problems ultimately stem from the lack of medical humanities education [4]. Therefore, as a medical student, it is not enough to have superb medical skills, but also excellent humanistic quality.

2. Practice and exploration of characteristic campus culture construction in medical colleges.

At the same time, the school should improve the management mechanism, build a project management platform, fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers and students, promote the construction of campus culture to form a benign interaction environment between teachers and students, and build a benign two-way interaction model between campus culture construction and school development, so as to finally realize the goal and significance of campus culture construction with medical characteristics. Taking Gansu Medical College as an example, adhering to the school-running philosophy of "putting moral education first, educating people first, paying attention to ability and all-round development" and the school-running orientation of "based on Longdong, facing Gansu, radiating the surrounding areas and serving the west", it is clear that the goal and direction of school development is to cultivate high-tech applied talents with both ability and political integrity for grassroots medical institutions such as rural areas and communities in the west. Focusing on this goal, the college has made a plan for the construction of nursing and laboratory specialty, which will strengthen the specialty construction, promote the construction of top-quality courses and top-quality courses, improve the quality of personnel training, and transport a large number of outstanding medical talents for Gansu.

2.2 Campus culture with traditional culture and spirit of the times as the core.

The construction of campus culture in colleges and universities is the advocacy and practice of university spirit. Only by combining excellent traditional culture with the spirit of the times can we create a healthy, elegant, positive, rich and harmonious campus culture. In the construction of campus culture, medical colleges should adhere to the cultural construction with inheritance and innovation as the core, and integrate traditional culture with the spirit of the times. On the one hand, we should guide students to inherit and carry forward the excellent moral tradition of the Chinese nation, on the other hand, we should vigorously cultivate the spirit of the times, help medical students to establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, so that they can correctly understand their responsibilities and missions, truly establish the idea of contributing to society and serving the people, and strive to become high-quality medical talents.

The construction of characteristic campus culture in medical colleges can give full play to the advantages of local excellent traditional culture and integrate with the spirit of the times to build a unique campus culture. For example, in the construction of campus culture, Gansu Medical College vigorously tapped Huangfu Mi cultural resources, established Huangfu Mi Research Institute, strengthened the research and publicity of Huangfu Mi culture, actively promoted the spirit of Huangfu Mi, and integrated Huangfu Mi's spiritual qualities of caring for others, caring for poverty, being brave in hardship and innovation into students' ideological and political education, which made teachers and students feel intimate and identify with regional culture and exerted a subtle influence on teachers and students; Huangfu Mi's cultural spirit is integrated into school motto, school song and school emblem, which has become the spiritual core of campus culture. It is precisely because of this integration of superior resources that the campus culture of the university not only embodies the spirit of the times, but also maintains its own unique characteristics.

2.3 student-centered, innovative campus cultural activities with medical characteristics.

Characteristic campus activities are the main carrier of campus culture, which is of great significance to the formation of humanistic environment in colleges and universities and the growth of college students. Medical colleges should carefully design and reasonably arrange various campus cultural activities according to the characteristics of medical students, mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers and students, and promote the construction of campus culture. First of all, the construction of characteristic campus cultural activities in medical colleges should have prominent themes and distinctive features. Scientific literacy is the essential quality of excellent medical and health personnel. Medical colleges and universities should create an open and diversified educational environment around this theme and cultivate students' scientific literacy and innovative spirit. The school encourages students to actively participate in campus scientific and technological innovation activities with the help of the Challenge Cup competition every year.

In addition, students are encouraged to actively participate in various academic exchange activities, science and technology interest group activities and extracurricular academic science and technology competitions, and strive to create a strong academic atmosphere for scientific research, stimulate medical students' innovative consciousness and challenge spirit, enhance their creative ability and innovative spirit, and form a characteristic culture of medical colleges. Secondly, the carrier of activities should pay attention to diversity and innovation to stimulate students' enthusiasm for participating in activities. Nowadays, the carriers of campus cultural activities are more and more diversified. Many colleges and universities set up online forums, online psychological clinics, scientific and technological exchanges, art discussions and other activities through the campus network, so that students can reflect their self-worth in interactive exchanges and stimulate their interest in participating in activities. Colorful campus network activities have opened up new ways, added new vitality and provided new carriers for campus culture construction. Medical colleges and universities should strengthen the management and construction of campus activity carriers, combine traditional campus cultural activities with modern information media, constantly innovate campus cultural activity carriers, provide high-quality educational resources for teachers and students, enlarge and strengthen characteristic brand activities, continuously enhance the guiding force and influence of activities, create a positive campus cultural atmosphere with outstanding medical characteristics, effectively promote the formation of characteristic culture in medical colleges and universities, and transport outstanding talents for the development of national medical cause.

Gansu Medical College strengthens the construction of characteristic campus culture, makes full use of local high-quality cultural resources and refines the spirit of characteristic campus culture. The school takes Huangfu Mi culture and Kongtong culture as the theme to carry out various activities, such as holding Huangfu Mi Forum, Huangfu Mi Acupuncture Academic Exchange Conference, and Kongtong Health Culture Lecture. At the same time, through electronic screen, school newspaper, school radio station, campus network, weekend screening of movies related to ancient medical classics, we will publicize and carry forward excellent traditional culture, strive to create a strong medical humanistic atmosphere, and promote the construction of characteristic culture on medical campus.

2.4 relying on local cultural resources, to carry out the construction of characteristic campus culture.

The construction of characteristic campus culture in medical colleges has distinct regional characteristics. In order to make the construction of campus culture truly unique, schools must integrate campus culture with local excellent culture. Schools should proceed from reality, combine their own characteristics, tap the essence of regional culture, find the connection point between regional culture and campus culture, and integrate it into the construction of campus culture, so that students can receive education under the influence of local excellent traditional culture, thus guiding them to grow up healthily. Schools should make campus culture form a brand in their own development, accumulate cultural details and enhance the soft power of running schools.

In order to build characteristic campus culture and fully tap the rich local humanistic resources, Gansu Medical College regards Huangfu Mi culture and Kongtong culture as valuable resources for campus spiritual and cultural construction. The school incorporated it into the talent training plan and specialty construction, strengthened the research on acupuncture medicine and Kongtong health preservation, and vigorously developed the specialty with acupuncture characteristics. The school also organizes students to visit Huangfu Mi Cultural Park every year, and organizes students to go deep into Kongtong Mountain to conduct drug collection and drug value research, so that students can understand the local culture more intuitively and integrate the essence of local traditional culture into campus culture.

2.5 To improve the quality of campus culture and education with the social practice activities of medical majors as the carrier.

Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, pointed out: "Education can only exert its strength through life and become a real education". [5] Medical colleges should comprehensively improve the quality of campus cultural education through social practice. In social practice, according to the reality of medical colleges and universities, combined with professional characteristics, there are planned and organized arrangements to give full play to professional advantages. Students use their holidays to go into the community, go deep into the countryside to volunteer to teach, understand the national conditions and people's feelings, know the society, find their own shortcomings from practice, and clarify their responsibilities and missions, so as to stimulate their learning potential and continuously improve their moral personality. Gansu Medical College closely combines the professional characteristics of our school and constantly broadens the practice channels. For example, members of the Stomatological Society and the Acupuncture and Massage Society often go deep into rural areas, go into communities, nursing homes and children's welfare homes to carry out free clinics and deliver medicines, or carry out voluntary love activities for teachers and students on campus. Through the tempering of social practice, they have exercised students' will and perseverance, increased their knowledge and talents, improved their ideological and moral level, and finally established a correct world outlook, outlook on life and values.

Medical colleges and universities, as professional colleges for training high-quality medical talents, should not only cultivate students' superb medical skills, but also strengthen their cultural literacy. Characteristic campus culture is of great significance to promote the all-round development of medical students. Medical colleges should actively explore the effective path of campus culture construction, and gradually form a unique campus culture spirit in the practice of in-depth excavation and continuous innovation of campus culture, so as to better realize the educational function of campus culture.
