Tonifying winter health and avoiding three highs
Make up for winter health and avoid the three highs! What a coincidence! As the saying goes, "beginning of winter fills the winter." Traditionally, in Taiwan Province Province, the so-called winter tonic is to prepare rich dishes to spend the cold winter, such as sesame chicken, shochu chicken, ginger duck, mutton stove, hot pot and so on. These winter tonic foods are nothing more than dishes with high fat and salt, so we should also pay attention to many possible health problems.

Hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia, hypertension and other diseases must pay attention to the control and management of diet, and remember to take it in moderation in winter. After all, the early winter in Taiwan Province Province is not too cold. Therefore, as long as you grasp the five principles of healthy eating, you can also eat healthy and beautiful!

Huang Sifen, a nutritionist at Yangming Campus of Taipei United Hospital, said that there are five principles for supplementing healthy diet in winter:

1. Choose meat properly: discard internal organs, fat meat with high fat content, and meat with skin. In addition, the oil content of processed food such as shrimp dumplings, dumplings, meatballs and other hot pot ingredients can not be ignored, so it should be taken in moderation.

2. Go to the oil slick before drinking soup: When cooking soup, it is recommended to peel the meat first, and don't forget to go to the oil slick before drinking soup to reduce the intake of excessive fat.

3. The original flavor is the most delicious: stewed soup and tonic soup often contain high sodium (salt) and essence. The unique flavor of medicinal food materials (such as Angelica sinensis, Lycium barbarum, red dates and Astragalus membranaceus) and the fresh and sweet taste of fresh food materials (such as onion, ginger, garlic and mushrooms) make you eat more healthily while eating delicious food.

4. Salt-reduced dipping sauce is the healthiest: the commercially available condiments are not only high in sodium, but also add many food additives, which will harm your health if you eat too much. It is suggested that the dipping sauce can be diluted with water, or it can be homemade with reduced salt.

5. Eat 5 servings of vegetables and fruits a day: Vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and phytochemicals, and eat 3 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruits a day. It is suggested that you can increase the use of vegetables and mushrooms in stews. In addition, don't forget 1 serving of fruit after meals to make your nutrition more balanced.
