1. Unique geographical conditions
As we all know, Chinese civilization originated in the Yellow River Basin, and we have always respected the Yellow River as the "mother river". Our ancestors in China also developed from the vicinity of the Yellow River Basin to the point where they could not expand. If you look at the map of China, you will find that the northern part of China is uninhabited Siberia, the eastern part is the endless Pacific Ocean, the southern part is the miasma (poisonous) tropical rain forest, and the western part is the insurmountable Himalayas and Altai Mountains, which means that China is actually isolated.
These natural geographical barriers perfectly protect the independence and security of Chinese civilization, but also limit the foreign exchange in the later period of Chinese civilization, making us lag behind the West. None of the other three civilizations has such a perfect natural cradle. They are all in the land of four wars, and there have been wars in history. Take our old neighbor India as an example. It has been occupied by various forces many times in history. From the Aryans to the Persian Empire and then to modern Britain, India's indigenous civilization suffered too many external forces.

Two: One Emperor through the ages-Ying Zheng
China's ancient civilization has been handed down from generation to generation, and Qin Shihuang Ying Zheng played an important role. If Ying Zheng, King of Qin, had not swept Liuhe, unified the whole country, unified writing and unified currency, unified measurement, China today would probably be the same as the European continent. Today's Europe is divided, largely because Europe does not have such a great monarch as Qin Shihuang.
Third, the influence of Confucianism and the thought of unification.
Confucianism is a sect founded by Confucius during the Spring and Autumn Period in China. It takes the three cardinal principles and five permanent members, benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith as its dogma. Confucianism has become the main research object of Chinese studies since Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty ousted a hundred schools of thought and respected Confucianism alone. The greatest function of Confucianism is to unify the thoughts of the people of the whole country and stabilize the rule of China, a multi-ethnic and vast feudal dynasty. Even if China continues to be divided by war, it will eventually be reunified, because reunification has become the wish of the people of China, so only the idea of great unity can make Chinese civilization continue to this day.

Four: Chinese civilization is inclusive.
In fact, Chinese civilization has not been impacted by foreign civilizations. Mongols in the Yuan Dynasty and Manchu in the Qing Dynasty both occupied China, and they also tried to destroy Chinese civilization. Has China's civilization been destroyed? Objectively speaking, part of it has been destroyed, but more is evolution. Just as species adapt to the environment, when the environment of Chinese civilization changes, Chinese civilization will evolve with it. Therefore, the Chinese civilization has spread to the present, which is somewhat different from the original ancient Chinese civilization, but it is generally consistent.
These are the reasons why Chinese civilization has survived to this day. 2 1 century, with the development of scientific and technological information, Chinese civilization has also been impacted by many foreign civilizations. I hope you will not rest on your laurels, but actively absorb foreign advanced cultures and strive to make Chinese civilization evolve to a higher level.
