Yongquan point belongs to the kidney meridian of foot shaoyin, which is located at the foot bottom, at the depression of the forefoot when the foot is rolled, and at the intersection of the front 1/3 and the back 1/3 of the connecting line between the toe seam of the second and third toes of the sole and the heel.

Indications include headache, slurred speech, convulsion, jaundice, sore throat, dysuria, constipation, heartburn, madness and shock.

Anatomically, the needle passes through the skin → superficial fascia → plantar aponeurosis passes through flexor digitorum brevis → the second muscle → the first interosseous muscle between the second and third bones.

The nerve innervating this skin area is the medial plantar cutaneous nerve.

① Yongquan is a well point in the Five Shu Points of the Kidney Meridian of Foot Shaoyin, which belongs to wood. It is the secondary point of the kidney meridian. Yongquan point is located at the sole of the foot. Traditional acupoints are taken from upper disease, lower disease, left disease and right disease, from yin to yang and from yang to yin. Therefore, moxibustion at Yongquan point can treat nervous headache and headache caused by hyperactivity of liver yang for a long time.

② According to the method of selecting well points for visceral diseases, Yongquan is also the first aid point for mental diseases such as coma, shock, heatstroke and convulsion.

⑤ To treat madness syndrome, Wu Daling and Qu Chi help middle-aged, white and young businessmen to wake up and enlighten, and help Wangwang's stomach to resolve phlegm and reduce turbidity, which is called "Yongquan saves the more crazy god".

⑥ In the treatment of epilepsy, Zuo Fenglong took Du Sheng as the source of phlegm, Wu Shenmen and his ministers as the source of enlightenment, and decided to shock the wind by relaxing muscles and tendons. The prescription is called "Yong Quan Ding Chu Yue Xian Fang", and pulse is applied during the day and at night.

⑦ Treating acute convulsion in children, Wuren, Dazhui, Hegu, Xuan Shi, Taichong and Yanglingquan can calm the liver, calm the wind, clear away heat, enlighten the mind, and calm the nerves, so it is named "Yongquan Jijing Formula".

⑧ Treating chronic convulsion, assisting Zhongjing Jingmen, Dou Shi, Shu Tian, Zusanli and Interrow, warming spleen and kidney, and cultivating yuan to stop wind, which is called "Yongquan Slow-Jing Prescription".
