Vegetative reproduction is a part of the vegetative organs of higher plants-roots, stems and leaves, which develop into a new individual after falling off from the mother.
Plant tissue culture
This concept (in a broad sense), also called in vitro culture, refers to the separation of desired tissues from plants. Organs or cells, protoplasts, etc. Under the artificial control, culture is carried out through aseptic operation to obtain regenerated complete plants or produce other products with economic value.
The concept of plant tissue culture (narrow sense) refers to the use of plant tissues, such as cambium. Regenerated plants are obtained by the culture of parenchyma, mesophyll, endosperm, etc., which also refers to the callus of various organs cultured in the process of culture, and the callus differentiates again to form regenerated plants.
The core of vegetative propagation refers to the process of developing a new individual with a part of vegetative organs (not reproductive organs) of plants. This concept is relative to sexual reproduction.
Tissue culture is a specific technique, which is not a propagation method in itself, but a technical means subordinate to vegetative propagation. Its essence is also the process of developing into a new individual by using the totipotency of vegetative organs (not reproductive organs) and plant cells.
Therefore, these two concepts do not conflict.
