The word "bait" originally means cake in Chinese dictionary, which generally refers to food. "Bait silk" is a kind of filamentary food made of rice. Before 1950s, it was made by hand. Goose oil is a good condiment. The most common way to eat Tengchong is to mix rice with goose oil.
