Dried ginger is a dry rhizome in previous years, with irregular lumps, grayish brown or fawn surface and yellowish white or grayish white cross section; Alpinia officinarum is the dried rhizome of Alpinia officinarum. The medicinal materials are cylindrical, with brownish red to dark brown surface and grayish brown or reddish brown cross section.

Alpinia officinarum can dispel cold and relieve pain, warm and stop vomiting, warm and disperse spleen and stomach cold evil, and stop pain and vomiting. Commonly used for stomach cold pain, stomach cold vomiting and other diseases. Alpinia officinarum can be used alone or in combination with herbs for warming the middle warmer and promoting qi circulation. For example, it is often used with ginger to treat stomach cold pain, nausea and vomiting.

If the heat is abundant and the yin deficiency is internal heat, people can't eat ginger; People with yin deficiency and excessive fire syndrome, such as sore throat, dry throat, dry stool, or hemorrhoids, should avoid using ginger; Patients with hypertension should not eat more; Long-term use of ginger is easy to accumulate heat, help fire and hurt yin, and it is not suitable for long-term consumption of ginger; Rotten ginger contains toxic substances and is harmful to the liver. Don't eat rotten ginger. Dry ginger should be used with caution in pregnant women, and it is forbidden for those with yin deficiency and internal heat and blood heat. Alpinia officinarum is not suitable for people who are weak.
