It is estimated that the number of live pigs in Pinggu will reach10.5 million by 2026, making an important contribution to the pork supply in the city.
In 2020, Pinggu District will speed up the layout of a new round of livestock and poultry breeding and upgrade animal husbandry. According to reports, the site selection of the breeding community has comprehensively considered various factors, and collected various restricted areas and information layers of self-discipline, environmental protection, water affairs, gardens, agriculture and other departments. And integrated and formed the "three types and ten articles" breeding site selection standards for land planning, ecological environment protection and biological safety, and passed the "four-step" process of initial screening, field survey, district cascade review and municipal joint review.
At present, the New Hope 5S (Safety, Wisdom, Super Settlement, Science Popularization and Service) Super Pig Farm and the No.1 Middle School Pig Breeding Base have been laid out in Pinggu from south to north, located in gaodong town and Yukou Town respectively. "In the future, breeding and fattening will be combined. In 2020, 6,000 pigs will be bred and about 60,000 pigs will be kept," said the relevant person in charge of Pinggu District. According to the due diligence, it is estimated that by the end of 20021,Pinggu District will realize the supply of live pigs 1.5 million.
