Bagard's brand story
Bacardi breezer is native to Puerto Rico and Cuba. 1843, n Don Facundo Bacardi Masso of Catalonia came to Cuba from Spain. At that time, rum was still a strong unmixed wine, usually simply distilled, which was completely different from the second distilled liquor in Europe and basically belonged to the workers' drink of the poor.

In order to produce high-quality rum, Don Facondo began various distillation experiments. First, he introduced charcoal softening method, and then aged it in a carbonized American white oak barrel baked inside. As a result, he got a very clean, smooth and mellow rum. Don Facondo believed that he had produced enough distilled liquor to satisfy the tastes of connoisseurs, and he decided to become a rum merchant. He bought a small brewery and built their rum empire with his wife Donna Amalia. Looking from the roof of her house, Amelia noticed a group of bats on the house. The local people say that this kind of bat can bring health and good luck, which she thinks is a good sign. So, I persuaded my husband and personally designed a bat image as a wine label. Today, we can see that all Bacardi products will be marked with this bat.

1On February 4th, 862, Bacardi Company was established. With the production of the first rum, Tang Fakundu innovated the distillation process of rum. In addition to using charcoal and oak barrels for aging, he also created a natural yeast, which can be directly added during the fermentation of honey syrup. Before that, honey syrup was simply put there to combine with the ingredients in the air for natural fermentation, which was easy to produce bacterial impurities. The fermentation method invented by Don Facondo can not only improve the fermentation process, but also avoid the invasion of bacteria. This kind of yeast has been used to this day.

The Bacardi family has been producing rum during the Cuban War of Independence. Later, Emilio Bacardi, the son of Don Facondo, was elected as the mayor of San Diego and set up a bottle factory in new york. However, Emilio's participation did not last long, and he was later exiled because of his participation in the struggle against colonial rule.

After the American Prohibition Act was promulgated, Bacardi's factory in new york had to be closed, and the family business plummeted. At this time, Facundito Bacardi, the head of Bacardi Company, invited thirsty Americans to Cuba to enjoy rum, so that the Bacardi family's business could flourish.

The revolution of 1958 ended the history of the Bacardi family in Cuba. Castro came to power, Bacardi's property was confiscated, and the fourth and fifth generations of the family fled to Puerto Rico to rebuild their rum empire. After the Cuban government confiscated Bacardi's property, it continued to produce rum and named it Havana Club.

Despite adversity, Bacardi took root in Puerto Rico. Their efforts finally paid off, and now Bacardi is the largest rum producer in the world. 1980, the great-grandson of Don Facondo took over this huge rum empire, making Bacardi the largest private brewing company in the world. Today, Bacardi is the only private liquor company in the world and the fourth largest liquor company in the world. Headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, the company has more than 6,000 employees in more than 65,438+070 countries around the world.
