(1) Increase the temperature to promote the growth of roots.
If bougainvillea is cut in winter, and there is a fire resistance in the northern countryside, you can put a foam box on the fire resistance, which contains sawdust or river sand with a thickness of 5-8 cm, erect the cuttings on the substrate, leave the terminal buds outside, and pour them thoroughly with water.
(2) keeping the humidity of the substrate
After cutting, the substrate is required to provide water continuously to maintain the normal freshness of branches and leaves. Generally, 50%~60% soil water content is appropriate; Too much water often causes cuttings to rot.
At the same time, the surrounding environment is required to maintain high air humidity, usually the relative humidity is 80%~90%. Therefore, it should be controlled by spraying cutting leaves and adjusting mulch in time.
(3) Wet sandy soil promotes rooting.
About a month before cutting, put a foam incubator indoors or on the balcony. The box is not too big, you can cut 5-6 bundles of cuttings.
Spread river sand with the thickness of 1.5 ~ 20 cm in a box for wetting, bundle cuttings and put them on the sand, and then cover them with fine river sand and plastic film to promote roots. When the temperature is kept at 25℃ and the air humidity is 70%~80%, it can take root in about 20~30 days.
(4) chemical treatment
The first treatment method is: the plant rooting agent is prepared into a certain concentration of water solution or alcohol solution, and then the cuttings are soaked in it for a certain period of time before being inserted into the seedbed.
Generally speaking, the low concentration should be soaked for 5~24 hours, and the high concentration should be soaked for 6~26 seconds. The second treatment method is: dip rooting powder directly. When using, the base of cuttings should be soaked in water first, then inserted with powder, and then inserted into seedbed.
(5) Appropriate lighting
The terminal buds and leaves of cuttings can only carry out photosynthesis in the sun, producing auxin to promote rooting. However, because the cuttings are separated from the mother body and lack of water supply, they need shading treatment.
General shading is 70%. After the cuttings take root for about 15~25 days, they can be transplanted into flowerpots and kept in the shade for 7~ 10 days.
After the roots are well developed and the plants grow healthily, they are gradually moved to the sunny place for maintenance, and then transferred to normal maintenance management.
