Crystal Palace is located in Nashe Township, Bama Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Karst caves are developed in the karst landform area of peak-cluster depression valley, and the terrain fluctuates greatly. The entrance is located on the hillside of karst peak cluster, which is about 150m higher than the modern erosion surface.
In June 2004, the Crystal Palace, which lived in seclusion in the mountains, was discovered by several villagers by accident, and the local government quickly organized forces to protect the cave.
Features of scenic spots
Most stalactites are influenced by gravity during crystallization, resulting in gravitational water deposition. However, very few stalactites crystallize from capillary water, film water and misty water to form non-gravity water deposits.
For example, when the surface tension of the water oozing from the capillary at the top of the cave is greater than gravity, Stonefur, rockfill and crystal flowers generated by its crystallization may not necessarily grow downward, but may grow upward, laterally, in any direction or even twist. The crystal frost of gravity-free water deposits on the top of Bama Crystal Palace dyed the top of the Crystal Palace white all over the sky.
Despite the ever-changing landforms, 97% of the karst caves in the world have the same milk stone, and all of them have only gravity water sediments, such as reed flute cave in Guilin, Yiling Rock in Nanning in Qixingyan, Gully Hole in Yulin, Bai Mo Cave in Bama, Dragon Palace in Anshun and so on.
