Tang inherited the art of Peking Opera from Tang School.
The main inheritors of Tang school art are Tang's son-in-law Xu Rongkui and Zhang Haitao, who are famous actors of Tangshan Peking Opera Troupe, and their representative works are Xie Zhenguo. Shao Lintong, 1954 studied under the Tang Dynasty, and is a famous old actor of Suzhou Peking Opera Troupe. Tang Dengnian, the son of the Tang Dynasty, studied drama since childhood and once participated in the Tang drama Huarong Road. Shenyang Peking Opera Theatre is a well-known veteran actor, who studied under the Tang Dynasty at 1960 and performed the Tang drama Gu Chenghui. Another disciple of Tang studied with He in the 1970s, and became an actor who could perform many tang style plays in Shenyang Peking Opera Theatre, such as Gu Chenghui and Walking through Maicheng, and recorded audio-visual images such as Huarong Road. Zhao, the wife and nephew of Tang Dynasty, studied under Tang Dynasty, performed such plays as Gu Chenghui, Huarong Road, Crossing the River, Driving a Car, and was once the director of Tianjin Peking Opera Theatre.

The art of Tang school is listed in the national and provincial intangible cultural heritage list, which is of great and far-reaching significance to the development of Peking Opera with Northeast characteristics and the creation of the artistic brand of "Kanto Peking Opera".

Due to the small number of Tang disciples, the old actors who were familiar with the art of Tang school died one after another, and the number of actors who could play was limited, and they were all over middle age. It is difficult for young actors to inherit. At present, the art of Tang school is in an endangered state. It is planned that from 2006 to 20 10, with the Tang Art Research Association as the center and Shenyang Peking Opera Theatre as the base, personnel will be organized to re-excavate and collect the relevant materials of Tang School Art, and two Tang School plays will be studied, sorted and rearranged every year, audio-visual materials will be produced, and The Collection of Tang School Art will be published.
