Rattan is the dried vine stem of Moraceae, which is harvested in summer and autumn, washed, cut and dried, and produced in Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Hubei and other places.
Morphological characteristics of floor rattan
Perennial deciduous creeping shrub, the whole plant has milk, the stem is cylindrical or slightly flat, brown, multi-branched, the nodes are slightly enlarged, the slender adventitious roots touch the ground, the leaves are alternate, the petiole is long 1 to 2cm, the leaves are hard papery, oval or obovate, the length is 1.6 to 8cm, and the width is 1 to 4.
The upper part is green, short bristles, rough, the lower part is light green, short bristles along veins, with 3 veins, 3-4 pairs of lateral veins, cryptocephalic inflorescences, paired or clustered on leafless short branches, often buried in soil, spherical or ovoid, with a diameter of 1-2cm, reddish at maturity, 3 basal bracts, and the male flowers are the same as gallnut.
