He once defended the position of General Han Xin. Why did he set an ambush and ordered him to be chopped to pieces?
There is a folk saying that "success is Xiao He, failure is me", which means that it is both a success factor and a failure factor. As the founding father of the Han Dynasty and the first prime minister of the Han Dynasty, Xiao He ranked first among the ministers and made great contributions to Liu Bang's farmland. Why do you say "failure is me"? There is a wonderful cause and effect behind this.

Xiao He and Liu Bang are fellow villagers. Before Liu Bang's uprising, Xiao He was an official of the Qin Dynasty, but he was not a big official. He served as the chief officer of Pei county, in charge of the promotion and retreat of the ministers, that is, personnel work, which is equivalent to the organization minister of a county. Liu Bang is the director of Sishui Pavilion. Many pavilions have been set up in the whole county, which is probably equivalent to the director of the police station now. Xiao He's officials are a little bigger than Liu Bang's, but Xiao He has them.

Later, Qin Shihuang built the imperial tomb and mobilized many coolies from all over the country. Liu bang was ordered to escort a group of prisoners to Lishan to participate in the mausoleum repair. Everyone knows that this is a life-threatening job, and he cried loudly all the way. Liu bang was moved by compassion and secretly released the prisoners. This was a felony of decapitation at that time. Liu Bang dared not go back to Pei County and secretly hid outside. Pei county magistrate of a county is furious.

After Liu Bang's uprising, Xiao He was loyal and was mainly responsible for Liu Bang's logistics work such as soldiers, grain and grass, which provided sufficient logistics support for Liu Bang to destroy all forces and defeat Xiang Yu.

As civil servants, Xiao He and Liu Bang are very complementary. Liu bang has a big mind and a big pattern, but he doesn't consider details. Although Xiao He can't lead troops to fight, he is good at collecting cities and managing people. After Liu Bang conquered Xianyang, Xiao He turned a blind eye to the treasures of gold and silver, quickly collected laws, books and other documents, and grasped the national household registration, mountains and rivers, taxation and so on, which played a great role in Liu Bang's governance of the world.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xiao He was named the first hero of all walks of life and listed as the Prime Minister. On the basis of Qin Law, Xiao He formulated nine laws and decrees, advocating inaction and recuperation, and wiped out many rebels for Liu Bang. After Liu Bang's death, Xiao He continued to shine and help the emperor. It can be said that Xiao He did his best for the Han Dynasty.

Xiao He's resume can be said to be perfect and there is nothing wrong with it. Why is there such a saying as "good loser"? This is about Han Xin.

During the Chu-Han War, Liu Bang was in a weak position in the military, and there was a big gap with Xiang Yu in terms of strength, generals and prestige. Although Liu Bang had Xia Houying and Fan Kuai under his command, he lacked the ability to command the whole army and had no experience in large-scale corps operations, so it was difficult to strategize. Han Xin has defected to Xiang Liang and Xiang Yu, but he has never been reused. He has always been a nobody, so he has no choice but to switch to Liu Bangying.

Liu Bang is inferior to Xiao He in knowing people. Although he was highly recommended, he only gave Han Zhisu a small official and a surname, who was responsible for transporting food and grass. Han Xin was a general at this time, but he never met Bole in his life. Until he met Xiao He, Xiao He saw the difference in Han Xin and recommended Han Xin to Liu Bang many times, but Liu Bang didn't care. In desperation, Han Xin packed his bags and sneaked away at night.

When Xiao He got the news, he immediately dropped everything, got on the fast horse and chased it by himself. He ran all night to Han Xin, and Xiao He told him to go back. This is the story of Xiao He chasing Han Xin under the moon.

After Han Xin returned, Xiao He took the head around his neck as a guarantee for Han Xin and asked Liu Bang to reuse Han Xin. Then Liu Bang built an altar to worship Han Xin as a general and took command of the three armed forces. Han Xin didn't let Liu Bang down, so he set "Hanzhong Countermeasures" to pacify Wei and Dai, and help Liu Bang defeat Zhao and recover. Finally, after winning Qi, he defeated 200,000 Chu troops in Long Qie and annihilated Xiang Yu. We are familiar with this.

Han Xin's success is inseparable from Xiao He's guarantee, which is the origin of "success is also Xiao He".

But as the saying goes, after Liu Bang established the Han Dynasty, Han Xin's contribution greatly influenced Liu Bang's authority, but Liu Bang did not kill him, but relieved Han Xin of his military power and sealed a king of Chu to support him. Later, because of false accusation, Han Xin was demoted to Huaiyin Hou, which made Han Xin greatly dissatisfied. In BC 197, when Liu Bang made an expedition to the rebel army, Han Xin and Chen Yi conspired to rebel.

Although Liu Bang went to war, he was always very wary of Han Xin. He planted a lot of eyes in Han Xin's house, but Han Xin was told before he acted. When Xiao He learned of this, he chose to save Liu Bang. He pretended not to know about it and lied to Han Xin that Liu Bang knew about Chen Yi's rebellion. Now it is suppressed by the army, never mentioning Han Xin again. It is also said that Liu Bang held a celebration banquet in Km and invited Han Xin to dinner.

Han Xin thought he hadn't been exposed, and he could figure it out later. Don't go to dinner, suspicious, so swaggering into the palace with Xiao He. This man Cheng Xiang had already laid a tight encirclement in the palace. When Han Xingang stepped into the palace gate, he was set by an ambush knife and axe hand and chopped into a paste. A generation of generals withdrew from the historical stage.

This is the origin of "Xiao He's failure".

Looking back on Han Xin's life, I met Xiao He by chance and reached the peak of my life. However, after his success, he lost his direction in life, was misled by a traitor and attempted to rebel and usurp the throne, and finally died at the hands of his own Bole Xiao He.

The so-called "success is also Xiao He's failure, but it is also Xiao He's" is not a commendatory term. Xiao He has always been consistent in the whole matter, insisting on being loyal to the monarch and protecting the Lord. This position has not changed. On the contrary, Han Xin's ambition eventually led to his own demise, which also sounded the alarm for future generations.
