Because of his outstanding achievements in pearl research and technology popularization, Xie Shaohe, as the representative of China pearl experts in 1995, served as the director of the World Pearl Organization (W P O) established in Kobe, Japan, and concurrently served as the chief member of the Technical Quality Committee. Since 1997, he has been listed as an outstanding expert and top-notch talent in urban management in Shantou City and hired as a visiting professor by Zhanjiang Ocean University (now Guangdong Ocean University); In 2007, he was hired by the Jewelry Professional Committee of China Business Federation as the vice president and the president of Pearl Research Association. In 2008, he served as the deputy director of the Pearl Sub-technical Committee of the National Fisheries Standardization Technical Committee and the head of the freshwater pearl working group, responsible for the revision and formulation of the National Standard for Freshwater Pearls; In 2009, he was named "Shantou Model Worker"; 20 10 was awarded the "China Overseas Chinese Contribution Award" by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; 20 1 1 was selected as "National Rural Popular Science Leader" by China Association for Science and Technology.
Xie Shaohe shoulders the responsibility of being an entrepreneur, the expectation of his mentor Professor Xiong Daren and the leaders of his alma mater, concentrates on pearl breeding, and takes it as his duty to lead and promote the development of the national pearl industry, striving to make greater contributions to the scientific and technological innovation of the pearl industry in China. Since 2008, Xie Shaohe has led the R&D team of Shaohe Pearl Company and Pearl Research Institute of Guangdong Ocean University to tackle the technical problems of seawater pearl culture in the form of Industry-University-Research cooperation. At present, initial results have been achieved, and the technical bottleneck of low survival rate in the sea area of "Pinctada maxima" has been broken for the first time, laying a foundation for the development of "Nanyang Pearl" in China.
