Wuqinxi was originally called Wuqinxi (see the documents of the Three Kingdoms in the later Han Dynasty), but it has been referred to as Wuqinxi for a long time, also known as Wuqinxi, Wuqinxi Qigong and Baibu Khan, and its creator is Hua Tuo. Wuqinxi is one of the most popular and longest-lasting fitness methods in China (about 1800).
The origin of action names of wuqinxi;
Wuqinxi consists of five animal movements: tiger, deer, bear, ape and crane. An early saying is that every movement is to imitate the corresponding animal movements. Each movement is completed symmetrically left and right, with respiratory conditioning.
According to the latest statement, Wuqinxi was originally a series of movements similar to gymnastics. At first, it didn't have a name, only five kinds of animals were classified, which had health care effects on the five internal organs and five elements of the human body respectively. This statement is based on textual research, because of the contents of the cultural relic "Guide Map" unearthed in No.3 pit of Mrs. Xin Zhui's tomb in Mawangdui, Western Han Dynasty.
