After the shock, with the roar of spring thunder, the sleeping earth was awakened again. As the agricultural proverb says, "99 plus 19, plows are everywhere." As far as I can remember, before the 1980s and 1990s, in my hometown of southwest Shandong, it was time for Cleisthenes to plow the fields, and the fields showed a lively scene of spring ploughing.

When I was a child, my grandfather was the breeder of the production team, and I was his little tail. I often stay and play in the cowshed yard of the production team, and even sleep in the cowshed at night, especially on the floor made of straw and wheat straw on cold snowy days. Even dreaming is sweet, and I feel very warm and practical.

I am familiar with the process and method of feeding cattle, because I have heard a lot. At that time, a production team of more than 200 people had more than a dozen scalpers, and the members regarded them as indispensable family members in the team. There are basically no decent agricultural machinery in the production team, and most of the important labor such as plowing, sowing, hoeing, threshing, grinding and transportation depends on these oxen. Therefore, the members treat them with kindness and sympathy. At that time, the treatment of cattle was quite high. Forage should be cut evenly and finely with a straw cutter, with an average length of about two inches. First, use a sieve to remove impurities, pour the forage into a stone trough, and add the fine material mixed with fried soybeans, sorghum and corn. In winter, some warm water should be added to the wheat straw and stirred evenly with a straw stick, so that cows can enjoy it after making a draft. They stick out their tongues, roll the straw into their mouths and swallow it into their stomachs. After eating and drinking enough, several cows lay side by side in the cowshed behind the stone trough, and then slowly ruminated. That carefree look is like a farmer who has worked hard all day, frying a plate of delicious side dishes at dinner, drinking a few mouthfuls of "Erguotou" wine, lying in bed and squinting his half-drunk and half-awake eyes to rest. Young me, I like to stand alone in front of the stone trough and quietly observe the concentration of cattle eating forage. There was silence all around, and the sound of cows chewing grass came from their ears. It was simply intoxicating light music.

After the shock, after a winter vacation, the annual spring ploughing activity will begin again. The energetic cows were led to the fields by farmers. With the long shouts, the cows struggled to pull the plough, turning up fresh soil behind them, emitting the breath of spring, and the fields of hope woke up from now on. ...

It is another year of spring ploughing, and I can't help but see a vivid picture of plowing cattle in spring, like an old cow, ruminating on the good memories of the past.
