In Zhongshan, Zhongshan Min dialect is mainly distributed in Shaxi, Dayong, Zhangjiabian, Nanlang and Sanxiang. According to the Records of Xiangshan County, most of the residents in Zhongshan Min-speaking area moved from Fujian to Xiangshan during the Song and Yuan Dynasties. Due to the different geographical distribution and language features, Zhongshan Min dialect can be divided into Longdu (including Shaxi and Dayong Town, where Longdu is the old name), Dongxiang (including Zhangjiabian and Nanlang, named after being located in the east of Shi Qi) and Sanxiang. These three films have the same characteristics of Min dialect in pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.
