Although the title of Shen Fu originated from Li Bai's Preface to the Garden of Peach and Plum in Spring Banquet, it is more tranquil than Li Bai's.

"The husband of heaven and earth, the inverse of everything; Time flies, and a hundred generations have passed. And floating like a dream, for the joy of geometry? "

Li Bai's works are full of night, moonlight, lights and flowers, and there is a desire to travel by candlelight at night. And Shen Fuzhi's words have the time of falling flowers into the water, the calm silence of garden dreams and the beauty of clothes and vegetables in the morning.

"Little Yan, the moon by the pool, insects singing, bamboo couch in the fence. The old lady reported that the wine was warm and cooked, so she drank in the moonlight and ate a little. "

This dazzling and elegant, quiet and moving is the aesthetic difference between Huayu and the street.

Little Dream of Red Mansions in Late Qing Dynasty

/kloc-for 0/40 years, more than one scholar has praised Six Chapters of a Floating Life as "a Little Dream of Red Mansions in the Late Qing Dynasty".

Shen Fu's attitude towards women, his love for local scenery, his care for plants and rocks, his choice of ancient books, and his etiquette for monks are all close, but the structure is not as complicated and huge as A Dream of Red Mansions.

It is very common to publish Six Chapters of a Floating Life, Memories of Xiangbulou, Memories of Mei Ying 'an, Memories of Qiu Guang and four spiritual essays in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Behavior is very rude. Because the realm reached by several books is completely incomparable.

Memories of Xiangbulou written by Chen Pei is too self-centered, too vulgar, and has a masculine narcissism and dirty breath. Memories of Shadow Mei 'an is beautiful and charming. However, Mao Bijiang's attitude towards Dong Xiaowan seems unforgettable, but the fact is ruthless. Love in a thousand words is not like a silent journey. Jiang Tan's Memories of Qiu Guang is almost elegant and full of emotion. However, Jiang didn't want to say that he was worried, which made his talent a little dull.

Only Six Chapters of a Floating Life is literary and sincere to everything around it. Boudoir love, flowers, gardens, officialdom, friends, streets, mountains and rivers, temples, and even brotherly love and prostitutes are all sketched everywhere, and peanuts are in the heart.

In A Dream of Red Mansions, every part is not a light pen, but a thin line. Cao Xueqin painted on the brocade, and Shen Fu painted on the silk.

However, the structure of Shenfu has its own characteristics. According to the six poems written after reading this book in Qing Dynasty, each poem tells a life memory. Boudoir, leisure, worry, wandering, the lost chapters of Ryukyu and Health Care change scenery, but there is a kind of carefree push for a change, just like solving one important inner obstacle after another.

Shen Fu is not against any ethics, but against the situation of these lives. For him, this is just the truth of life. His understanding of people is faithful, simple, true and clear.

A Dream of Red Mansions is a desolation after prosperity. "Six Chapters of a Floating Life" is a daily lament of literati in cloth, and it is more the desire of ordinary people.

The sincerity of this kind of writing is the most rare truth in the world.

Hua Yingru Ren Mei

A word "truth" is the reason for Shen Fu's life.

Shen Fu's affection is reflected in the daily life of Suzhou couples woven by streets, flowing water, osmanthus flowers and stone bridges. If Chen Yun is "the loveliest woman in China literature", then Shen Fu is the most affectionate man in China literature.

From love at first sight, taking Qi Mei as an example, to never giving up, seeing things and thinking about people, even if you are in a prostitute boat, you should find a woman who is similar to your wife. Shen Fu is more affectionate and real than anyone described in the history of China literature. Besides, he is a real person. The sentence of drizzle and breeze touches the audible daily life, as if this person is around.

The so-called ordinary people, the beauty of daily life, and the word "ordinary" are all copied by Shen to reflect the luster and rhythm of the moonlight stream.

There is a rule in the pear garden called "three points of affection win the world, and seven points of affection move ghosts and gods." The reason why Chen Yun doesn't like those sad dramas (see Volume 1, Memories of Boudoir Music) is that he is the kind of person who has deep feelings and can't move his heart.

But not as those who used to be poor together know? That was not the case. There are few complaints in the book, mostly bitter and complacent. He only blamed himself more than complained about others when his wife died (see the third volume "Sadness in Memories") and his son died prematurely (see the fourth volume "Traveling by Waves"). It is precisely because of his style of writing that is strict with himself but like a floating cloud that the spring flowers and autumn moons described in this article are precious.

The fourth volume, Travel Fast. Part of it is about the couple who live in Xishan Huashi's home. Shen Fu went to Shanghai in rags to visit friends and borrow money, met in the pavilion of the shogunate garden where friends worked, and did not forget to taste their garden. "This garden is donated by foreign businessmen, and it is very spacious. Unfortunately, the scene is scattered and disorderly, and the rocks behind it are stacked and there is no ups and downs. " Between words, the arrogant attitude of "Dieshan experts" is very cute.

Surprisingly, on his way home, he "suddenly thought of the victory of Yushan" and took advantage of the interest to take a downwind boat to Yushan! Moreover, he did not forget to drink Biluochun with excellent taste on the way up the mountain, and invited passers-by to have three drinks in the wild shop after going down the mountain! It makes people laugh and cry, and they are at a loss. I don't know how to evaluate his wayward trip.

This part of the information is also relatively concentrated, the speech speed is very fast, and there is a kind of resilience and persistence that does not take suffering as an enemy. And this persistence adds desolation to the whole book.

Some critics say that they like to watch the boudoir music in the first volume and the ups and downs in the third volume. However, the second volume of "Cut Flowers to Take Advantage" and "Garden Tasting" and so on. Is the aesthetic cornerstone of this book. There is love only when there is daily obsession. Shen Fu lived in the late Qing Dynasty and still has the simple demeanor of Gui Youguang, a Suzhou native in the Ming Dynasty, which is the reason. Not a sketch, but an elegant chapter.

Eat porridge

The beauty of Suzhou in Shen Zhong is the rain of China's ancient books.

Her charm lies in gardens and delicacies, in flowing water and ancient trees, and in the pronunciation of Wu dialect.

After visiting all the places and scenery that Shen Fu and Chen Yun have been to, they ate the mushroom noodles that were not bad for a week and left with the rose candy bag. Unfortunately, there is a little lard in the middle. Suzhou snacks are like this. Zongzi with meat, rose, lard, sucrose and sesame. It's like a beautiful woman walking through the vegetable market to buy powder.

Maybe this little lard is Shen Fu's trip to Guangzhou Shamian Yangzhou Prostitute Boat.

Even so, the whole book is silent.

Yu Dafu called it a "fresh" sketch. In fact, this is a huge system. Many scholars wronged Shen Fu, researched the relationship between Shen Fu and Shi Yuyu, and talked about hundreds of thousands of words of Shi, but none of them circulated. The "freshness" of style is also a reason.

The so-called "freshness" is nature. Just like rain and wind, they are all natural, not artificial.

Yu Pingbo wrote in the preface of Six Chapters of a Floating Life in German: "The beauty of the article lies in people's hearts. And heart to heart, its spread far away. "

That is, Yu Pingbo wrote "no acid language, superfluous language and Taoist language" in the preface to Six Chapters of a Floating Life reprinted in the 1920s.

Although the length of gardening is out of line, the information revealed is a precious book, The Secret Book of Flower Arrangement. It's all his experience, and there is no secret and stingy spirit of a folk artist at all. The volume "Travel Notes of the Waves" is also a scene change from time to time. The word "wave" has some Jianghu flavor, perhaps because of Shen Fu's mentality after his wife's death.

Fei Ruming, a scholar, said: "I'm afraid the loveliness of Yun lies not in her maternity, nor in her daughter's nature, but in her unique wife's nature." The word "wife" embodies the characteristics of tenderness, gentleness, beauty and harmony. This is also the reason why Shen Fu enjoys the couple's daily life and ideological interest.

So everyday Japanese is better than macro writing. In a dull, invisible trembling heart.

"foothold" period

Six Chapters of a Floating Life was first published in Guangxu four years (1878), and so far there are nearly 200 kinds. Although the history of the Republic of China is only 38 years, there are nearly 60 versions. It is a miracle that it is difficult for an author to write a complete short biography, and there are so many versions in a hundred years, far exceeding all prose essayists since the late Qing Dynasty.

For the literati in the Republic of China, this is a vein of China's ancient narrative literature and a tradition of Yuefu poetry in the Book of Songs. For today's readers in China, it represents an ancient meaning and aesthetics. Movies of the same name filmed during the Republic of China are no longer visible, and video clips are hard to find. We can only guess from the resume of the film poet Fei Mu, the film stills and posters of Six Chapters of a Floating Life in the newspapers of the Republic of China. From the verve of Spring in a Small Town and Confucius, we can see his subtle grasp of emotion. It is conceivable that eating porridge in the boudoir and taking pictures at night are touching details.

For this reason, the expectation of its "sufficiency" is often seen in the writings of scholars and writers for many years. Yu Pingbo, Lin Yutang, Yu Dafu, Zheng, Zhou Shoujuan and Ye Shengtao. Almost half of the literati and scholars in the Republic of China have related comments.

The so-called "enough" is everyone's expectation. The earliest "full edition" refers to the series of beautification literature classics published by Shanghai World Bookstore in August, 1935, one of which is Six Chapters of a Floating Life, which contains the last two volumes.

There are two chapters: "Sun Yat-sen's Calendar" and "Health Preservation". There is a chapter about the scenery of Ryukyu, almost all of which are copied from Li Dingyuan's Make Ryukyu, which is a bureaucratic chronicle. The chapter on keeping in good health is mostly quoted from Zeng Guofan's Diary of Autumn Quezhai and Zhang Ying's Congxun Zhai Yu, and the joints of the articles are mostly vulgar words. However, after all, Ryukyu articles provide an ability to understand the scenery of Ryukyu. Although there are many contradictions, there are sometimes many quips. Therefore, this edition is included together.

Six Chapters of a Floating Life, published by People's Literature Publishing House on April 20 10, contains the fifth Collection of National Seas, which was compiled according to the notes and manuscripts of Qian Yong, a famous scholar in Qing Dynasty. However, judging from the style cited by money, it is obvious that it is not faithful to the original book, but has added its own understanding and deletion, which is far from the meaning of the existing Four Records, and even less detailed than the Sun Yat-sen Calendar in the appendix of this book.

Although the last two chapters of Six Chapters of a Floating Life have not been discovered so far, it does not affect the influence of this book at all. From 1949 to the beginning of 1980 after the Republic of China, mainland publishing houses did not print it, but by May of 1980, only the proofreading edition of Luo Zongyang of Jiangxi People's Publishing House had published150,000 copies in two editions. In July of the same year, People's Literature Publishing House published a proofreading edition of Yu Pingbo, with a sales volume of100000 copies. Since then, there have been one or two versions in China every year. 1995 even has six versions in one year, while there were five versions in 2000.

This translation is based on the version of Frost and Maple Society in the 13th year of the Republic of China. This edition was collated by Yu Pingbo according to the edition of Reading Wuan Congchao in the fourth year of Guangxu and the edition of Yanlai Hongcong Newspaper in the thirty-second year of Guangxu. At the same time, refer to Guangling Ancient Books Printing Press 199 1 Photocopy Edition, Zhejiang Ancient Books Publishing House 1995 Edition "You Lan Zhen Cong" and Zhonghua Book Company's 20 15 Edition "Comments on Miao Huaiming". And try to avoid common sense mistakes in previous editions and remove the hasty definition of "Yushan, a mountain range in Suzhou" in the comments.

Thanks to Ms. Zhao Rubing, the editor of "Tribute to Classics in Writers List", her professional and good preliminary work saved us a lot of time. Thanks to poets Xiao Hai, Li, Long Island, translator Ma, and scholar Cornice, who gave me a lot of help during my stay in Suzhou. When I think of them, I think of the afternoon when the translation was finished. I drank tea in the teahouse of Suzhou Netscape Garden, and when I left the garden in the evening, I was covered with osmanthus fragrance.
