Original title: In the first half of the year, the number of ecotourism tourists in China reached 900 million. Ecotourism cake? How to share in Yunnan?

As a national ecological demonstration zone, a scenic spot and a member of the United Nations World Biodiversity Conservation Circle, Xishuangbanna has unique natural resources advantages in promoting international ecotourism. 14 in the morning, at the 20 19 Xishuangbanna International Symposium on Eco-tourism held in Jinghong, "Creativity and Innovation of Eco-tourism" became a hot topic discussed by experts and scholars at home and abroad. Yunnan, which has unique ecological resources, how to share the big cake of ecotourism? Around the theme of eco-tourism, more than 260 experts and scholars at home and abroad, tourist cities and tourism enterprises inside and outside the province. Explore the establishment and promotion of international standards for eco-tourism, actively promote the development of a series of eco-industries such as tourism culture and health care, and promote the harmony and unity of ecological protection and industrial development.

Eco-tourism new products are in full bloom.

The conference was hosted by Xishuangbanna State Government, and jointly organized by Xishuangbanna State Cultural Tourism Bureau, Xishuangbanna State Government Foreign Affairs Office, Jinghong Municipal Government, Tianhe Public Welfare Foundation and Beijing Tongying Investment Group. The theme of the seminar is "Eco-tourism under the goal of sustainable development".

Chen Shun, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, and Luo Hongjiang, Governor of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Zhang Xinsheng, former Vice Minister of Education, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of IUCN, Honorary Chairman of Tianhe Public Welfare Foundation, and Yang Chao, Chief Economist of State Forestry and Grassland Administration delivered keynote speeches respectively.

"This is how we define eco-tourism. It is a form of tourism based on forests, grasslands, wetlands and wildlife resources and environment, integrating sightseeing, leisure and vacation, fitness and health, culture and education." Yang Chao said in his keynote speech that from the establishment of 1982 Zhangjiajie Forest Park in Hunan Province to today, eco-tourism has gone through nearly 40 years and made remarkable achievements. According to incomplete statistics, in 20 18, the total number of ecotourism in China has reached1600 million, accounting for 30% of domestic tourists, with a year-on-year increase of 15%, creating a world comprehensive output value of nearly10.5 trillion yuan.

According to the statistical analysis of ecotourism in the first half of this year by the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau, in the first half of this year alone, the number of ecotourism tourists in China reached more than 900 million, an increase of 14% over the same period last year. In recent years, the national forestry and grass industry and all relevant parties have innovated one after another, and new products and formats such as ecological experience, ecological health preservation, ecological leisure, ecological camping, ecological recreation and ecological education have blossomed. "We have seen a historic change, from cutting down trees to looking at trees, from selling mountains to selling ecology, from selling wood to selling landscapes, from transporting products to introducing urban residents." Yang Chao said.

The ecological diversity is amazing.

During this international seminar, experts and scholars first visited two eco-tourism areas in Xishuangbanna: Wild Elephant Valley Scenic Area and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences. In the Wild Elephant Valley Scenic Area, experts and scholars walked into the Yunnan Asian Elephant Provenance Breeding and Rescue Center in China to learn about the protection of Asian elephants. Through the high-altitude ecological corridor and the tropical rain forest, I saw the rescued bee monkey and gibbon. "The ecological diversity here is amazing." A scholar said.

In the tropical botanical garden, all kinds of exotic plants can be seen everywhere. Wang Lian, blood seal throat, dancing tree, mysterious fruit and other plants are the most popular. "Palm trees form a shadow on the shore, and the king leaves a pond." In the aquatic plant area of Palm Botanical Garden, Wang Lian leaves floating on the water are larger than those of other lotus flowers, which are particularly beautiful against the palm trees. A flock of white pigeons flying from time to time in the distant Woods, like a beautiful picture scroll, attract tourists from all over the world to take pictures and are reluctant to leave for a long time.

"Xishuangbanna has long been committed to protecting biodiversity and vigorously advocating ecotourism." Professor Deng from the School of Business and Tourism Management of Yunnan University said at the forum.

Xishuangbanna, a scenic spot represented by Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has taken the lead in setting an example in biodiversity protection of ecological environment. Wild Elephant Valley has become one of the earliest national eco-tourism demonstration areas in China. "There are still many mass tourism products in Xishuangbanna. How to transform them into eco-tourism products and strengthen the development of eco-health products is obviously a problem that we need to study and practice." Deng said to him:

Xishuangbanna eco-tourism vision released

Trevor Sofield, a professor in the Department of Tourism in university of tasmania and a professor in the Tourism Planning and Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University, said that Xishuangbanna is rich in natural resources and has done a good job in ecological protection, especially for Asian elephants. He believes that the Asian Elephant Provenance Breeding and Rescue Center in Wild Elephant Valley can refer to the case of elephant protection and publicity in Sri Lanka, and appropriately increase its openness to the public, which is of great significance for helping the public to increase their understanding of Asian elephants and enhance the interaction between humans and elephants.

Experts and scholars attending the meeting also reached and released the vision of ecotourism in Xishuangbanna. Visually, Xishuangbanna is known as "the kingdom of animals and plants". More than 5,000 species of plants and 2,000 species of animals in this area provide favorable conditions for Xishuangbanna to combine ecological protection and develop into a global leader in eco-tourism, adventure tourism and community tourism. Experts attending the meeting urged all stakeholders to further develop ecotourism in the new era on the basis of biodiversity and cultural diversity in Xishuangbanna, and strive to achieve innovation and high-quality development. Experts at the seminar suggested that in the process of developing new ways of ecotourism and cultural tourism, all stakeholders should give priority to the ecological environment and biodiversity, which is the premise of sustainable development.

Vision also hopes that the follow-up seminars can follow up the concrete progress in achieving the important goal of the overall sustainable development of the United Nations and the possibility of establishing ecotourism standards for tropical rainforests.
