China's traditional meticulous brushwork can be traced back to the beginning of the Warring States, and reached an unattainable perfection of simplicity, naturalness, elegance and elegance at the end of the Song Dynasty. After the Song Dynasty, freehand brushwork became more and more popular, and meticulous brushwork replaced the late Yiling period and even smeared the ground. Especially in the past century or so, western learning has spread to the east, and the frequency of the world has remained unchanged. The orthodoxy and artistic conception on which China traditional ink painting depends have lost. Yadao sold, and the painting died. What is meticulous painting when this hoof is in the world where rabbits escape?

As the saying goes, literature changes with the times, but it is surging. First of all, we must admit that there is that tradition. Fu Qingzhu said: "Writing strokes is not like the ancients, that is, it is not a word." China traditional meticulous painting has a very stylized language system, and all the changes are based on it, no matter how it is divided into chapters and white, colored with the class, three alum and nine dyes, and so on. It doesn't hurt to hit the heel, but it's short and deep, and there's nothing I can do.

He dabbled in various landscape figures, flowers and birds, animals, graphite and plain notes. Wen Ju's paintings come from institutional paintings in the Song Dynasty. Let's sort it out. It also draws some inspiration from modern boneless style, simple description and decoration, drawing lessons from the past but not muddy, concise but not simple. Don't underestimate the tempering of technology. Master Zhuangzi said: "Tao is also a skill." If it is written by the right army, the sadness, failure and grievances of a lifetime are poured between the lines, and each stroke can become a road. Modern people who study art like to take paths or shortcuts. Xia Zi said, "although there must be quite a few people following. Stay away from the mud and be a gentleman. " (The Analects of Confucius, Zhang Zi) means that a gentleman is not prohibited from taking the right path, but the problem is that he is afraid of mud. It is easy to get lost when walking, but it is gone when walking. There are many rivers, all of which flow into the sea, and all the avenues are rivers. This is also the golden mean. For those who are willing to work hard, the road of the golden mean will become wider and wider.

Traditional art can't be without its origin, but it can't stand with an ancient man in every stroke. On poetry, Mr. Gu Sui said that a person with talent but no knowledge, only innate spirit and no acquired cultivation, will often be "poor"; If it is overwhelmed by the ancients, it is a "text." Only a truly promising artist can breathe freely under the oppression of the ancients. It's useless to draw meticulous paintings all your life and still spin around in the box of "Yellow and Rich, Xu Xiye". Bitter gourd monk has a long-standing motto: "pen and ink should follow the times." To keep pace with the times, we must first break the gap between ink painting and present life, and don't wander in the closed and endless ideographic system of traditional ink painting. You should have your own pen and ink language, and you should also have your breasts repaired. What is really good is the cultivation and connotation behind the picture. Dongpo's poem said: "It is not enough to retreat like a mountain. Only by reading thousands of books can we understand God." Of course, it is necessary to withdraw the pen like a mountain, but to understand the spirit, the kung fu of "reading thousands of books" is essential.

Wen Juren, as the name implies, is gentle and quiet in Jing Ya. His brushwork and picture texture can also show his introverted and elegant tranquility. What is especially rare is that he can get rid of the habit of ordinary painters to invite pets according to customs and make a piece of work. Habit is too deep, it is difficult to give up fame, to improve the true qi in the chest, and to improve painting skills. It is difficult to deceive people when painting to a certain level, and the painter's personal accomplishment will naturally appear between point and ink. Wen Ju's painting elegance does not avoid vulgarity, and there is a good balance between vulgarity and elegance. Traditional meticulous painting, both in content and form, has its own vulgar elements. Zheng Banqiao once said: Writing and painting are both elegant and ordinary. A gentleman can't contribute to the world and keep fit for the people, but to make the people play well, just pen and ink. Why not? Speaking of vulgarity, I'm not afraid of vulgarity. It's not really vulgar, it's the way life is, and it's my true spirit. The journey of virtue, sincere words, ordinary people and daily life can really touch people. "Poetry 300" means to say whatever you want, because it is true and refined. What I fear most is vulgarity and elegance. "As long as the chess, calligraphy and painting are used, the rice, oil and salt are not used." Elegant and vulgar are really vulgar, tacky. Therefore, elegance can't save customs, it will only harm customs. What can save the customs? Only personal cultivation. Your cultivation is not enough, your mind is not transparent enough, and your craft is not innovative enough. Mr. He Jiaying has a saying: "Turn your thoughts into pen marks", that is, you should have your true nature and sincerity in the painting. "Being an official is not an official product, avoiding the world and avoiding noise", (Shen Yue) is rare; "Literati talk about poetry when they have nothing to do" is really vulgar.

Nowadays, the traditional skill of meticulous brushwork is developing vigorously, and the younger generation of painters smell an enduring positive pulse and new possibilities in the rigorous brushwork language in this courtyard. The potential of literary works is extraordinary and the road ahead is considerable. I hope he can keep a calm mind, be diligent in his career and make further progress. Zhou Wenju's flower-and-bird painting has made a lot of efforts in tradition, and at the same time, it has accumulated the systematic foundation of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. At the same time, through his continuous progress from sketching to creation over the years, he has made a great leap from his present state, especially from these years, it can be seen that his mastery of flower-and-bird meticulous flower-and-bird techniques has reached a very good state. For him, the experience of studying in the Academy of Fine Arts, including his own accumulation in many aspects over the years, his works are in a stage of creative upgrading.
