As in the traditional culture of China, the four elephants refer to Qinglong, Baihu, Xuanwu and Suzaku, which respectively represent the four directions of east, west, north and south. These four numbers, the lunar calendar represents 6, Shaoyang represents 7, Shaoyin represents 8 and the sun represents 9.

Evolution of Four Elephants

In the formation of the Eight Diagrams in Zhouyi, it is said that the sun gives birth to yin and yang, in which spring comes from winter with yin, but spring is the changing trend of yang giving birth to yin. Yang keeps rising and Yin begins to fade. After spring is summer, and sun be the spirit plus sun be the sun. Summer is coming from spring again, and the yang is rising, but after autumn, a yin is added to the yang, indicating that there is less yang and representing autumn. In winter, from Qiu Lai, the yin keeps rising and the yang begins to decline. In winter, yin is dominant, and yang is complementary, which is called Taiyin. Therefore, the changes in the four seasons of this year are not only the representatives of the four elephants, but also the changes of yin and yang in the life cycle of all living things.
