Shengjingshan Scenic Area, with a total area of about 50 square kilometers, is composed of limestone and sandstone, and belongs to a post-Triassic folded trough basin. Surrounded by mountains, the mountain is steep and beautiful, and the highest peak of Tianmu Mountain is 57 1 m above sea level. Baguajing, a "peerless wonder", contains "the first mountain in southern Hunan and the unparalleled scenery in the north of Beijing", which is mysterious and unpredictable. There are also natural landscapes such as Zhenwu Palace, Baibu Ladder, Mountaineering Road, Xiaoyao Shinto, Pianguan Temple, Songzi Temple and Lingguang Hall, which are coordinated and unified with each other. There is a poem that describes it like this: the mountain is among the mountains, and in front of it is a steep rock cliff. The ridge winds through the peaks, which is better than nine days when the Milky Way settles.
According to legend, Emperor Xuanwu, a great Taoist god, lived in seclusion here when he first visited Laozi for monasticism. Until the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Jiajing passed by this place on his southern tour and marveled at entering the fairyland on earth. He stayed for a few days and wrote down the word "sacred land", hence the name "holy mountain". According to legend, during the Three Kingdoms period (the 41st time of Romance of the Three Kingdoms), Zhao Zilong came here alone riding a savior.
